I’m still blown away by Jev and what it’s been able to accomplish. It feels like the missing link between deterministic code and LLMs, while reducing latency and cost for tasks that require judgment. Some of my favorite use cases: Connecting agentic pipelines Is this done? Is confidence high enough? Alright, continue. Mass-scale judging I saw someone use it to go through thousands of emails and flag only the ones that were important or actually needed action. Banger. Guardrails Your AGENTS.md says “be concise, natural, and not annoying.” Your agent says “absolutely!” Jev can sit in the middle and judge whether it actually listened. Trading bots Use Jev as the decision layer between signals and execution. Is this setup strong enough? Is confidence high enough? Trade, wait, or escalate. What excites me most is the idea of cheap, fast probabilistic judgment becoming a primitive you can drop into software. What are some of your favorite Jev use cases? 👇
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI? I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev • 20-200x faster • 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free) • Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution

Two years at DoorDash. I do not say this lightly. We are extremely close to the burrito arriving before you decide you want it. We are not asking for a ban. We are asking for a pause.

Anthropic needs to remove the 5hr limit for their models. If I use my weekly budget in a day that’s my cross to bear.

Alternatively, continuing tasks after the limit is done should also be a thing.

Yelling at Claude feels like yelling at my dog. They both don’t know any better, I’m partly to blame, and this won’t fix the problem down the road, so I just bite my tongue and carry on.

GPT 5.6 names have triggered my crypto PTSD…
42
PSA for anyone trying to use the new GPT-5.6 models today. Here’s what you actually need to know. Right now, GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna are only available through the OpenAI API and Codex for developers who have been granted preview access. If you’re a ChatGPT user, you can’t manually switch to them yet. If you’re an API developer: • Check your API dashboard for access. • Watch the OpenAI changelog and email announcements. • Build your app so the model name is configurable instead of hardcoded. That way you can switch to GPT-5.6 the moment access appears. • If you’re deploying agents, start thinking about routing tasks between Sol, Terra, and Luna instead of sending everything to one model. OpenAI says broader rollout is expected over the coming weeks, so now is a good time to prepare your infrastructure rather than waiting for access. That’s probably the fastest path to using GPT-5.6 on day one.
99
This might be the most important thing OpenAI announced today, and almost nobody is talking about it. It’s not GPT-5.6. It’s the fact that OpenAI no longer expects us to use one model for everything. Instead, they launched an entire lineup where each model has a different job. I think that’s a much bigger shift than people realize. 🧵

5/ One other thing worth mentioning. Who can use these today? Right now, GPT-5.6 is only available to a limited group of trusted API and Codex partners. OpenAI says broader availability is coming over the next few weeks, so if you're building on their API, keep an eye on your account.

6/ My biggest takeaway: I don't think this is just a new model release. I think it's the beginning of the end of the "one model does everything" era. The companies that build the best AI products won't just have access to the smartest model. They'll have the smartest routing between models.
