Since I know I have many contacts on here that expand far beyond the MN area, I wanted to express that I know many people who have tried to post pictures and videos of things happening in Minneapolis that social media platforms have been taking down, claiming various reasons.

Depends on the client. Some clients want absolutely no reoccurring expenses. They want it installed, and then never have to think about it. Others see the value in having some monitoring and "license" based solutions for their needs #AVintheAM

I feel that more "upper management" people often forget the TCO, and just look at the number on the page. Or even worse, forget about the original number invested in a space, and think the new solution should be something else #AVintheAM

Soft skills are very important, but also knowing where one's tech knowledge ends, and when to bring in an SME. I've recently encountered a project where the main, "general" building AV Designer designed a specialty system that didn't do the main need #AVinTheAM

Unfortunately, many clients will start with generalists, but when a specialty-space becomes part of the conversation, I've seen many of them not know when to bring in a specialist. Systems don't always function well, and clients end up VERY unhappy #AVintheAM
