Heeeeyyyy! Long time, no tweet. 👋 Just wanted to pop in and announce our 2023 #APIPit date. Make sure to mark your calendars! 📆 #amquerying #writingcommunity
With deep regret, we're announcing that APIPit will be on hiatus from 2024 onwards. Because Twitter has grown far from ideal for pitch events with the bots stealing pitches and messy algorithm, we have decided it is best to pause APIPit until we've found a better alternative.
It is just after 8 PM EDT now, so it's a wrap! 🥳 Thank you to all who participated in #APIPit this year. Remember, creators: if an agent or editor requested, you can submit to them *on your own timeline.* Huge shoutout to our co-founders to making this happen! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
We're less than 12 hours away from the third annual #APIPit! Get your pitching muscles ready, creators! And colleagues: please remember that "liking" should only be reserved for agents/editors. Thank you! Founders will be on standby all day for Qs; please feel free to DM!

MAY is AAPI month! I realize that folks are getting lists, posts and panels ready to celebrate, so we* put together some graphics of newer books*** created by Pacific Islanders to help anyone searching for these types of stories. (🧵

It's gonna be ✨MAY✨! Today's Pitch Tip is a backup in case you can't get sample pages done in time for your GN pitch: draw up story driven illustrations/ concept art and character lineup/ character art instead! #amquerying #APIPit

We're getting closer and closer to the big day, so we're back with another pitch tip! Today's tip: STAKES! Make sure the stakes of your premise are clear. What do your character(s) have to lose if they do not accomplish their goal? #amquerying #APIPit
