Ben Affleck says "Justice League" reshoots were "the low point of my career" and the studio used the death of Zack Snyder's daughter as an "excuse" to replace Snyder with Joss Whedon.
"That was sh*tty, him being taken off that movie and the reshoots that we did... Somebody's death by suicide eclipses everything. The way in which that was, I thought, used as an excuse [to replace Zack with Joss Whedon] was one of the sh*ttiest things I've ever seen. It was so gross. The whole environment and vibe [on set during the reshoots], much of which I was not privy to but heard secondhand from the actors, it was just, 'Wow, this is about as gross as it gets.'"
"I saw how not to make a movie like that, which is where the studio is at odds with the filmmaker. You are really making a mistake. I was really glad and gratified that Zack got to release [his version via the SnyderCut]. That was f*cking great. I was really happy for him." (via Happy Sad Confused)

This scene in Brand New Day doesn't get talked about enough
Spider-Man thinks he recognizes himself in Frank Castle. Both alone. Both marked by loss. But Frank throws the truth right back at him: they are not the same.
Peter isolates himself by choice. He convinces himself that the people he loves would be better off without him. That's his lie.
Frank would give everything to have his people back. He didn't choose this life.
That honesty is what forges their relationship. And it's what pushes Peter, later in the film, to stop running from Peter Parker and go back to the people who love him.
Frank Castle saved Peter Parker by telling him the truth.
