We need to talk about this.
I’m asking the community to speak up and tag @FNCreate so this doesn’t go unnoticed.
The removal of the “Follow Creator” button from the Creator Profile Device is a big step in the wrong direction.
I’ll be honest, this doesn’t really affect me personally since I already have a strong following.
But that’s exactly why I feel responsible to say something.
This change hurts smaller creators the most.
No matter how good a map is, if players can’t easily follow you in the exact moment they’re enjoying your work, conversion drops massively. That moment matters.
I also understand the concern:
some creators have been forcing the “Favorite Creator” using aggressive placement and positioning of the device.
But that’s a moderation issue, not a system issue.
Removing or limiting the device entirely punishes everyone, especially smaller creators, instead of addressing the actual problem. What we need is better guidelines and enforcement, not the removal of a key growth tool.
This will lead to:
-Bigger creators staying on top
-Smaller creators struggling to grow
-Less competition and fewer new opportunities
We should be pushing for a system that rewards good maps and talent, not just existing audiences.
If you care about the future of UEFN, please tag @FNCreate and share your thoughts. The more voices, the better chance this gets reconsidered.
Legend 🐐
- meet Tim Sweeney
- built Fortnite
- made billions from gaming
- didn't buy yachts
- bidn't flex luxury
- spent $200M buying forests
- protected 54k+ acres across North Carolina
- stopped resorts, golf courses, power lines
- donated land to U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
- saved ecosystems, wildlife, millions of trees
- some people build empires
- others protect the planet
absolute legend 🐐
+UGC is literally 40% of the ecosystem.
that ‘40%’ revenue share isn’t even fully going to creators.
Epic takes a big chunk of it themselves as one of the biggest ‘creators,’ so everyone else is splitting what’s left.
I'm now 100% on board that everyone complaining about Creators ruining Fortnite are losers that just tried once, failed, and never gave UEFN another shot.
why is everyone complaining?
The trajectory was a clear downtrend. It wasn’t working.
big changes aren’t comfortable, but they’re necessary.
simple as that.
EPIC GAMES LAYS OFF OVER 1,000 EMPLOYEES
"Today we’re laying off over 1000 Epic employees. I'm sorry we're here again. The downturn in Fortnite engagement that started in 2025 means we're spending significantly more than we're making, and we have to make major cuts to keep the company funded. This layoff, together with over $500 million of identified cost savings in contracting, marketing, and closing some open roles puts us in a more stable place."

Map creators are calling out Epic favoritism after Ali-A launches a new #Fortnite map 🤔
Shortly after the popular content creator released "SUPER 1V1 FFA", it was pushed to the forefront of Fortnite's Discover screen - a privilege that most developers need to pay thousands of dollars in advertising fees for. And despite the fact that map creators are explicitly forbidden from advertising Support-A-Creators code in-game, another user noticed that Ali-A, SypherPK, and Nick Eh 30 do exactly that on their creator pages.
"SUPER 1V1 FFA" reached a concurrent player count of over 19,313 players yesterday, at least partially thanks to Epic's support. That said, it is worth noting that Ali-A also advertised his map on his social media pages, and is also running an event where players can win a million V-Bucks, which was also a likely contributor.

We’ve added a new Fortnite Developer Rule to address spam islands in Fortnite:
1.9.1 - “No one likes spam. Do not publish multiple copies of the same island or metadata in an attempt to manipulate search ranking, engagement, or visibility from the same account, alternate accounts or teammate accounts.”
Starting March 11, developers breaking this rule will face escalating penalties, including impacts to monetization, island removal, and account suspension.
We’ll also be rolling out new automated tooling in the coming weeks to prevent spam islands from being published.
legal.epicgames.com/fortnite…
this is ridiculous.
the automated rejections also got upheld despite the screenshots provided serving no relevance to the violation.
''exploits, glitches, or other unfair advantages''
@FNCreate @FortniteStatus
these automated rejections most likely have a negative impact on accounts.
- My initial release got approved.
- My sponsored row campaign got approved.
yet hours later i got a sanction with the following screenshots provided, which do not represent the sanction. @FNCreate
