Helldivers isn't being review bombed because "Modders can't cheat anymore". The majority of the Reviews are talking about how arrowhead do not bother fixing the actual issues in the game. And when mods came out that fixed those issues, they panicked and added EAC.
I think garry needs to understand that if a community HATES a model you created so much that it has fucked up the game's sales, you probably should change the model. I appreciate garry for making gmod, but I don't think this s&box game is gonna cut it.
