𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 & 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄 Small & Growing Businesses (SGB) are the key to economic growth anywhere in the world. According to the World Economic Forum (WEF), they are the vital engine in most economies globally – making up more than 90% of businesses, employing more than 80% of the workforce and generating 70% of GDP in some countries. Yet, there is a historical systemic failure in making capital accessible to them. And without the fuel they need to grow, these businesses are being strangled. So what can we do, as individuals, to support SGB in our communities? Five things: 1. Buy from them regularly, as much as possible. 2. Recommend them to your family and friends. 3. Help share and like their posts on social media. 4. Link them up whenever you get any opportunity for funding. 5. Actively promote them. It's difficult for these SGBs to get loans from banks to expand. If we actively support them locally, it will help them to expand and grow.
