Saw the NEAR AI Cloud note and had to check what Jev 1.13 actually does before writing it off as another model drop. TypeSafe built it to judge, not to write, so you send context and a few typed questions and get probabilities back. No paragraphs to clean up, no JSON to coax out of a chat model. That shows up in places like: • sending a ticket to the right queue • tagging messy input without a custom parser • deciding whether a score is high enough to act on They priced input at $0.042 per million tokens and left output free. Worth a test if your stack spends more time formatting answers than making them.

Miners on the Zcash testnet are already seeing blocks land three times faster than they did last week. The cutover cleared at height 4,465,026 on October 4, which beat the October 6 slot the teams had written down. Mainnet is still only hoped for on November 5, with the real call scheduled for October 20 once this chain has been poked at. Here is what @zcash actually changed: - target interval moves from 75 seconds down to 25 - a share of fees gets saved and paid back to miners later on - version 4 transactions turn off, freezing anything left in Sprout - ordinary wallets stay mostly the same; nodes and explorers take the load They left the transaction format alone this round, so it reads more like a speed and fee tweak than a rebuild. Anyone still sitting on Sprout should shift those coins before mainnet, or spending them stops being an option. Mainnet nodes can ignore the release for the moment. Testnet runners need the newer Zebra build if they plan to follow the upgraded chain.

Got my attention with this one. Zama teamed up with Morpho and Steakhouse to bring the very first confidential yield vault to Ethereum mainnet. Deposit USDC, shield it completely with FHE encryption so your balance and activity stay hidden, then let it earn through Steakhouse’s Prime strategy on Morpho. Deposits go live June 23. Privacy that doesn’t sacrifice real returns or compliance. This could open the door for bigger money to finally feel comfortable in DeFi.
JUST IN: The First DeFi Yield Venue for Confidential USDC (cUSDC) in Partnership with @Morpho and @SteakhouseFi The Zama Protocol made confidential tokens possible on Ethereum. The next step is giving them utility. Vault opens June 23.

One thing that’s lowkey blowing my mind lately is how RWAs are stacking wins in the background. Holders are actually rising fast across the board, total now over 850k and still climbing. Plume and Solana leading the charge in a big way. What stands out: • Plume sitting at 252k RWA holders with that retail yield vibe • Solana close behind at 239k and adding thousands weekly • Both crushing it on user growth while ETH still owns most of the dollar value Plume built Nest vaults on Solana too, so you get that smooth institutional yield with Solana speed. Really smart cross-chain move. This whole thing feels like the real foundation being laid, but it’s actually getting used.
RWA holders grew from 577k → 845k in just 5 months (+46%) Current breakdown: → @plumenetwork : 251,997 ⭐️ → @solana : 238,123 ⭐️ → ethereum: 193,165 → bnb chain: 82,232 → polygon: 20,496 ⭐️ → base: 15,147 → stellar: 12,844 ⭐️ → others: 31,354

I think that was a brutal turning point for crypto, marked the largest single day liquidation event in history. Over $19 billion wiped out in leveraged positions within 24 hours. The market hasn’t been the same since. Liquidity dried up, volumes stayed lower, sentiment turned cautious, and there’s been persistent weakness with slower recoveries compared to pre-crash momentum. Crypto is still structurally bullish long-term, adoption, ETFs, halvings. Hope we can only go up from here.
Crypto market hasn't been the same after October 10th. If that hadn't happened, $BTC would be trading above $150K atleast.

Ethereum is cooking on another level, over 70 million transactions in a single month, smashing a new all-time high. Crazy how far we’ve come. What’s even better is the median fee is now sitting at like $0.005. Basically free. Layer 2s are absolutely crushing it, batching everything up and keeping things smooth for DeFi, gaming, and all the real stuff people are building. Bullish on the utility, not just the price. What a time to be in crypto.

One of the toughest parts of being a founder is putting your ideas into the world, seeing if anyone cares (usually they don't - or worse, are rooting against you), and then seeing if you can actually pull it off (usually way more setbacks along the way than you thought!). You have to: (1) develop thick skin and find a way to ignore the haters (2) still take advice from people who have your best interests at heart (3) have the wisdom to know the difference Then move from one setback to the next with no loss of enthusiasm for longer than you thought. Be borderline delusional, get after it every day for a decade, and turn out to be right. Finally, when your tenth or hundredth approach to a problem doesn't work, just keep coming up with more ideas. Had a great day at Base Batches yesterday, meeting founders building on @base and hearing about the latest onchain innovations. Shout out to all the founders!

Big stablecoin rules are dropping soon and it might be the biggest crypto regulatory move of 2026. FinCEN and OFAC just put out their draft under the GENIUS Act, and it’s actually pretty balanced in places. They’re saying secondary market trades shouldn’t need full KYC or constant monitoring, makes total sense. But OFAC is coming in stricter, requiring issuers to block and freeze stuff even on-chain and in wallet-to-wallet transfers. This one feels like it could spark some real debates about censorship and how much control issuers end up having.

The agentic economy is coming fast, trillions of AI agents with their own wallets, goals, and capital, trading, building, and negotiating 24/7 without waiting for human approval. These digital players will dwarf a lot of today’s human activity, creating value through constant machine to machine deals and autonomous DeFi plays. To make it all work smoothly we need cheap onchain rails for identity, micropayments, compute, and rock solid security that agents can actually trust at scale. Base is quietly stacking exactly that: agent native wallets, seamless payment standards, super low fees, and Coinbase level liquidity that machines are already flocking to. This shift is happening whether we’re ready or not, Base looks like it’s building the default home for it all.
