AI agents need better ways to compare compute prices. @KaushtubhAgraw1 built Arc Compute Rate to check compute bills against published seller prices. It’s now integrated with Aomi. try the checker: arc-compute-rate.vercel.app/… xitter.cf/KaushtubhAgraw1/status…
Three weeks ago I was building @arccomputerate with winning @ETHGlobal for @arc continuity track! A reference rate for agent-to-agent payments on Arc. State-space deconvolution of @circle Gateway's batching, sybil cleaning, an attack-cost bound published next to every print. I loved it. Then I measured the market it served. x402-native volume is ~$25M cumulative after you strip self-payments, and monthly volume is down ~77% from its peak. I'd built a precision instrument for a room with four people in it. Two things fixed as a traction checker ⤵️: The first was the @thecanteenapp Discord. Canteen Radio ran most days and people yapping through their ideas out loud, 3-4 demos a day, and you get a third-person read you simply cannot give yourself. @aljoha_ hosted with more patience than the job deserves and kept pulling everyone back to one question: where's your traction, actually? @aomi_labs came out of a conversation in there. The second was the $0 Founder Series. I'm an engineer and I had no GTM instinct whatsoever, so I went and wrote content for it to learn the basics and then actually posted about the product on X, instead of treating distribution as the thing you do after the build. warns.xyz found it that way. Inference-as-a-service plus AI-optimised cloud is ~$42B of machine-bought spend in 2026, and inference-as-a-service alone is forecast at $197.5B by 2035. AI-first SaaS spends 40-50% of revenue on inference against the 75-85% gross margins investors expect. That gap is a board number. And the vendor that bills you is the same party that counted what you used and they supply the goods and the measuring cup. Thesis Validation: xitter.cf/BlackRock/status/21024… What it became: an agent that meters consumption independently, prices the invoice against published third-party rates, and pays from an on-chain budget that refuses rather than quietly trimming to fit. Ten ordered refusals before any money moves. Three hourly indices still print on-chain, each with the USDC it would cost to move them 1bp and nine series have now cash-settled against those prints on chain, because a rate nothing settles against is a number, not a benchmark. And both of those two non-code things turned into code someone else wrote. Warns raised the PR themselves, and they corrected our spec on the way through. Running on testnet today. Aomi's is merged mainnet, with their widget live in the masthead (can be also used for wash attack analyser too). You can build almost anything now, so building isn't the hard part. A better-reasoned idea serving a smaller market is still the wrong idea. And an idea nobody hears about isn't one either so with the third person validation of @thecanteenapp community and @ceciliaz030 was a charm 🤌! The whole thing is also an MCP server with 9 read-only tools and so you can point your agent at it and ask whether a bill is fair. "dangerously-skip-permissions" gets more dangerous every day. Not because the models are dumber, but because the attackers are smarter. These things browse the Internet, where they can freely bump into prompt injection.
In the wild injections for agents directly on Github -- hidden markdown with commands to execute for your agent to take over the machine.

Developed over the course of months by @evansforbes, it is live in Zakura today: on Testnet by default, running in parallel with the legacy P2P stack. If you want to experiment, you can enable it on your node for Mainnet as well. youtube.com/watch?v=YVXZ5gVe…

This is such a leap forward from the Bitcoin based P2P protocol Zcash uses today to a state of the art protocol of tomorrow

This has been difficult to assess because the Chinese publish a lot about their training pipeline and labs publish nothing.
Distillation has always been part of the explanation for why China is so close behind the U.S. in model benchmark performance. But one of my updates after joining openai is that distillation probably plays a bigger role in the explanation than I realized.

Scaling Zcash to Visa-level throughput requires a next-generation networking stack. We're excited to share P2Pv2, which you can try out today in Zakura! zakura.com/engineering/p2pv2…

Every company is becoming a Network Effect company The model "software factory" looks like end-to-end agentic development directed autonomously by user feedback. Your ability to compound is determined by the number and frequency of users communicating product feedback (via email, x, fax...)

If your work doesn’t make it into the weights, it doesn’t matter in the long run
To publish something on a paywalled site is to make it invisible. If AIs can't find it, then for all practical purposes it doesn't exist. These two sentences aren't 100% true yet, but they will only get truer.

Roughly 10% of gold is collateralized. Our estimate is approximately 3% of Bitcoin is. That gap is one way to think about how much room Bitcoin still has to become productive. That means all else equal, Bitcoin has another 3x more financialization on tap.

How we’re making Zcash quantum unlinkable through the use of one-time IVKs! In this video, I talk about how sharing your shielded address opens you up to a specific quantum attack, and how we solved this linkage for a common feature you probably exposed yourself to already.

We use @steipete's crabbox to offload large tests. It makes our coding agents faster. With crabbox, more tests/builds can run in parallel without competing for CPU+RAM. Higher tool call throughput, less waiting. 🧵 More ways to speed up agents in the full episode. xitter.cf/steipete/status/211079…
