🚨In this original report, we found that increased utilization of palliative care during hospitalization for patients with metastatic cancer, including early consultations for younger patients and irrespective of receiving invasive medical procedures, has the capacity to increase high-value care and alleviate the economic burden on patients and the health care system.

Disparities in end-of-life care 🕰️
The pandemic caused more cancer patients to die at home and less delivery of palliative care. The low socioeconomic group was the hardest hit, as their increase in home deaths was not accompanied by palliative care.
