🚨 The Joe Budden Podcast gives Kendrick Lamar’s “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers” HIGH PRAISE, claiming some of the music on the album is beyond other rappers’ ENTIRE DISCOGRAPHIES.
Parks says “Mr. Morale” is a more produced version of Jay-Z’s “4:44.”
The crew also pushes back on criticism of the album during the Drake battle, highlighting “Father Time” and the album’s final four songs.
“What he does with albums is just DIFFERENT.”

JAY-Z BREAKS DOWN WHAT MADE BIGGIE A GREAT WRITER AND THE CHALLENGE OF WRITING FOR DR. DRE
JAY-Z: “Biggie was one of those ones who didn't run from controversy, whether it made him look bad or not. Most people's egos wouldn't allow them to say that.”
“He had such an endearing quality as a writer. ‘Black and ugly as ever’ — that one word was so powerful. Anything he said after that was going to be amazing.”
JAY-Z also explained his approach to writing for Dr. Dre after he left Death Row:
“I had to get into his psyche. What would he be thinking right there? I would be thinking, I have to remind people that I'm Dr. Dre.”
“It's like a cooking show. These are the ingredients I have to work with, and I'm going to make them make sense. And it can't be corny.”

DMX, Drag-On, and Swizz Beatz on “No Love 4 Me”
That Ruff Ryders chemistry was unmatched. X brought the raw intensity, Drag-On came with the bars, and Swizz delivered that signature production.
The Ruff Ryders era was built different! 💯

DMX didn't need an introduction. He just started freestyling, and everyone knew to shut up and listen. 🐐🔥

“You have placed me on a pedestal so impossibly high and not to honor me. Not to honor me. But to spare yourself the effort of the climb.”
What a powerful line in #VisionQuest.
This show continues to be brilliant.

the show bringing back stuff like Tony's AIs, Madripoor and Corvus Glaive's blade, while the story is built from stuff like Age of Ultron and WandaVision and still being personal and nuanced is exactly why the MCU works and why interconnectivity can be rewarding #VisionQuest

If VisionQuest sticks to landing in the finale, we will talk about how it’s the best TV show Marvel ever made.

one thing with Tupac is if you hear someone from soul or R&B sing on one of his songs, he tended to have created the melody and the hook himself and coached them on what to do. Pac was a musical genius
K-Ci telling me Tupac wanted to sing the hook on “How Do U Want It” had me cracking up!!!

Whenever I give this dude his flowers as one of our most important & legendary artists in the LA area, y’all just don’t understand me. He’s one of the most supremely talented. He can be the best mentor since Dre & Quik if he chooses.

Emotionally immature parents will rob their children of a whole childhood, and it’s honestly evil and unfair asf.
