Repression
2025, brutality and repression. May 2025, once again I did not celebrate my birthday — I had somehow decided that after my 49th, I would stop. I am deeply angry, furious, unsettled, powerless, emptied out. I have not been painting for a long time. I work on digital pieces. I want to paint but I cannot. I meet Mia. And then everything changes. I feel love. From the twilight zone I cross into a new world, carrying all the burdens that I have. Because of Mia, I started painting again. With no thought of an exhibition. Three paintings of love. Love in the Age of Repression. The first segment of this exhibition. I am going on vacation for the first time in six years. It is wonderful. With Mia. I return with a sense of guilt for having allowed myself to feel good in these dark times. I feel an irresistible need to keep painting. I paint. Sardining. People on the beach. Indifference in the Age of Repression. The second segment of the exhibition. Brutality and repression continue. I now know that I will complete this journey with at least one more segment. Repression in the Age of Repression. The third segment and the idea of an exhibition is there. An exhibition through which I will speak to myself. 2026. The madness we live in goes on. The politicians who govern this country have absolutely failed. Or they have not — if you ask them. The final segment. Politics in the Age of Repression. The exhibition is here. And I am here. And Mia is here. And you are here.

Honestly, it’s almost impossible to fit everything she does into one post. Through @hartverse, Ivana creates exhibitions, educational programs, artist onboarding, international events and cultural initiatives. She has brought traditional artists into the @tezos ecosystem, worked closely with @objktcom & @TeiaCommunity, and built real-world programs connecting blockchain, museums, cultural heritage and contemporary art
And it doesn’t stop there. More recently, she has also been developing new models for art-based fundraising on @solana, together with @SuperteamBLKN & @exchgART, using art to support real cultural institutions and communities
Ivana is seriously powerful, and we’re incredibly happy that she has joined us 🫂🫂

Today was the last day of the Teia Woman exhibition, supported by a @TeiaCommunity grant, and I'm full of joy and satisfaction with how it all went. Sharing a few photos from the reception we had on Saturday. We had around 70 people there alone, amid very humid weather that day, and many more saw the exhibition since it opened on August 20th. We were part of @belgradebw, which also brought a lot of that audience to the exhibition. Thank you to everyone who participated in some way! Hoping to make #TeiaWoman an annual event, so people can sit with the topic and the artwork for a whole year.

In a region where tradition has too often decided, on her behalf, who she is and what she is for, this question carries particular weight, though it is far from a regional one alone.
The exhibition will be a side event of @belgradebw, hosted at @ulus_udruzenje Pavilion Cvijeta Zuzorić - the most significant art space in Serbia, built as an art exhibition pavilion 100 years ago. 🙏

Better late than never - a month after @NFCsummit, I'm finally writing this thread while putting together my report for @CultureMovesEU which funded my travel.
Thank you @johnkarp for inviting me to see the pre-event setup, the summit itself, and the post-event wrap up. I've been thinking about organizing a similar event in Belgrade for a few years now. This was one more step in that direction.
#TezosCRP for @_Gellefin and our special guest @spike_0124 for their determined lectures on the @TeiaArt platform and for @HashSosaHash who organizes monthly meetups and presenting @objktcom and where they bring the artist platforms on @tezos closer to local artists.
