Confession: I'm not a vibe coder.
I'm way worse.
I built v1 of Memelord Technologies on the no-code tool Bubble.
I grew it to $100k ARR *on Bubble* *before hiring engineers*
Now we just raised $3M and hired real engineers and have real code.
But up until last week, the whole thing was no-code.
When I showed the inside of Bubble app to 1 of my actual engineer friends, he couldn't believe I worked that hard (and then wrote me an angel check)
Being on Bubble then actually became a huge selling point for me pitching to investors.
"If I could do this on Bubble, imagine what I could do with real money and engineers who aren't retarded like me."
I shipped harder and out-hustled VC-backed founders who raised $20M with no-code and caffeine.
Scrappiness pays off.

There were 400 workflows for the editor all in no-code. Every API call is with their API no-code tool. It's like the most autistic thing ever.
(This is a pic from me last year chugging coffee trying to figure out wtf "rate limiting" meant from so many sign-ups)

It took me only one day to write the script that actually checks whether Bubble apps leak any data or not.
But Bubble still hasn’t been able to integrate Flusk as the default security checker.
I get genuinely frustrated when enterprise apps pay more than $3,000 and still expose data from 600,000 users. It’s unacceptable.
If Bubble had provided better guidance or nudge, I’m 100% sure these enterprises would never have exposed their data.
That’s why I’m losing hope in Bubble day by day.
Their only focus is Bubble AI, which is also a mess.
Everyone starts with the AI builder because they have nothing else, but Bubble—you had such an awesome product, and yet you chose to make it worse and chase the latest shiny trends in the market.

The recent @supabase meetup was LIT ;)
Organised by @ZeroicHQ and @CloseFutureHQ during the last weekend, it was interesting to know how folks have been using Supabase for projects big and small.
And the best part of the meetup was all the great interactions with folks who have been in 9-5 but still exploring ideas, recent graduates building something in the cr*pto space, folks building MVPs through vibe coding and some interactions with students of the The LIT school.
It's fun to be part of such closely-knitted events. Some more pics in the thread below.
