Guess the percentage of restaurants who now get spammed robo calls by grok bot that hang up immediately.
Grok @Bot can call restaurants by phone and book you a table

Bought at $6, watched it tank to $2, stubbornly held for a year, and somehow sold Monday when it hit $18. It's now worth $0.17. I think I just used up my entire lifetime supply of trading luck. Anyone else ever dodge a bullet like this?

Do you agree? I prefer gemini's style more than the models themselves. Argon makes this more clear and on Ultra I have lots of available usage.

Life is too short, and last night heaven gained another U.S. veteran. Some losses remind us just how precious our time here really is. Rest in peace.

Why has the AI bubble "about to pop" feel like it's been on every news site for 6 months? Will it ever pop? Will Oracle survive?

I think inflation hits millennials differently because we have the internet. We don't have to remember what things cost 15 years ago. We can literally look it up. Previous generations had memories. We have receipts. Anyone else think that makes today's prices feel even worse?

There's a difference between vibe coding and AI-assisted engineering. I don't just prompt an LLM and hope the code works. Strict TDD, database normalization, security threat modeling, and tightly constrained prompts. Why do we keep pretending all AI-assisted development is the same?

Someone explain to me like I'm 5 why frontier models don't use Lua instead of Python for their middleware. Seems like it would save compute in speed of computation and in memory. For a RAM shortage they keep blaming the algorithms, as I do agree it has some role, it's not the whole story. Switching to a lighter but still fully capable language seems like the best play in terms of memory savings and cost reduction. Even AI agrees (ofc 'you're absolutely right...') take with a large grain of salt as it's OpenAI here. Can even ask @grok to estimate the same. -- HPC Researcher perspective

Opened an issue asking for 5 screenshots of my C++ debugger. Someone PR'd an AI-generated SVG logo and a "marketing kit" instead. Uhm..... no.

Go look on person's GH, they are making like 100's of PR's a day. You're not making yourself look good, you're making yourself look like a slop cannon.

Not a political guy but... Someone should run with Make America Cheaper Again. RAM too high! Housing too high! Groceries too high! Healthcare too high! Utilities too high! Make life bearable again!!

Non tech thought: GLP-1's have some nasty side effects that no one tells you about. Had a lovely time in my local hospital this morning, starting to think a personal trainer is cheaper and less likely to be fatal. How expensive are PTs in the backwoods of TN?

Gemini and Copilot are like Coca-Cola and Pepsi Claude is like Dr. Pepper: doesn't own their own hardware, just borrows others Like it or not most companies sign contracts to use a Google ecosystem or a Microsoft one. Technology won't win, market share will. Business thoughts?
