Excited to share that Chad Spain will be joining The Future of Smart Retail panel at Vartech this Monday, September 21st.
Retail is being reshaped by AI, RFID, IoT, and machine vision, from real-time inventory and frictionless checkout to personalized engagement and smarter loss prevention. Chad will join other retail tech leaders to unpack how the industry is putting these technologies to work.
If you're at Vartech, don't miss this one.
That's a wrap on an incredible weekend at the Italian Grand Prix. 🏁🇮🇹
Proud to have sponsored RetailNext's event at Monza! Genuine connections, sharp perspectives, and a race for the ages, with Kimi Antonelli's stunning comeback from 19th to become the first Italian to win his home race since 1966.
It was really special getting to bring together leaders from across retail tech, all building something different but united by the same challenge of getting it right, fast. Retail and F1 have more in common than you'd think: both come down to split-second decisions, the right information reaching the right person at the right moment, and teams that know how to move as one.
Frontline teams run on talk. Somebody spots a problem, says it out loud, and the right people hear it. Everything after the message is still on them to sort out.
Zello is helping turn talk into action. We're giving teams more ways to communicate, more ways to coordinate, and an AI sidekick to handle the busywork.
Watch this one first. It's the start of a series on how Zello takes teams beyond PTT.
Earlier this summer, Alex Gavrilov and Deniz Ahman spent three days in Chicago at Zipline's Summer Camp, talking with retail leaders about frontline work and what it takes to keep a team connected shift after shift.
This week many of those stores are deep in back-to-school mode, one of the busiest stretches on the retail calendar.
Grateful for the Zipline partnership, and for chasing the same thing on behalf of the same people.
Thanks to Dustin S., Eric Jeng, and the Zipline team for having us back.
Six new capabilities. All live today.
For 15 years the button has been the fastest way for your team to reach each other. Now it's the fastest way to reach everything else.
Say it, and it becomes a tracked task anyone on the channel can pick up. Ask what happened on last night's shift, and get an answer cited to the message it came from. Show the problem instead of describing it. Put an AI teammate in every worker's ear.
"Everybody has a picture of the store of the future. Almost nobody has a picture of the associate of the future." Our CEO Alex Gavrilov, in today's announcement.
Today's story is set in retail. It could just as easily be a plant floor, a job site, or the cab of a truck.

There are three ways retailers can meet New York's silent response button requirement, and the cost difference between them may be a surprise.

New York retailers: are you budgeting for hardware you don't actually need?
Starting in 2027, the Retail Worker Safety Act requires every worker to have a way to silently call for help. Most retailers assume that means buying new equipment for every store.
It doesn't have to. Enable a silent response button on the devices your store already has — no installation crew required.

January 1, 2027 is closer than it looks.
If your retail business has 500+ employees across New York, that's your deadline to give workers access to a silent response button for emergencies.
