#Isles Our Captain Bo Horvat has put the team on his shoulders offensively this year. But now, the other intangible for the C must emerge tonight. I fully expect Bo Horvat to challenge Mikko Rantanen to answer the bell for the hit on Romanov last year. This is what a Captain does

Happy about us
Steve Duby (sermon): “The analogy of a parent and child comes to mind, although parent-child analogies inevitably break down at some point when we’re talking about God. Everyone can see the problem when parents have a child in order for the parents to become self-actualized. Maybe dad never became a professional athlete and he is bent on the son becoming one in order to validate dad himself. That’s very different from a parent simply finding joy in the child’s well-being and growth in the likeness of Christ. Now, the analogy breaks down because human parents end up needing something, needing their children to take care of them, whereas God does not. … I had a student one time ask me, ‘But isn’t God better off with us?’ To which I immediately and happily responded, ‘No, we don’t make God any greater or better than he already was.’ Which is good news because we creatures are not sufficient to be an anchor of God’s contentment. Instead, we’re invited to participate in God’s eternally, already established, joy in the fellowship of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. … God is happy *about us* but he is not happy *because of us*, as though we were supposed to be the foundation of his fulfillment and contentment, which is a burden that no creature was ever meant to bear.”

And all those future books and documentaries will be wrong too.....
Maybe people should learn about one of John's Ramsey's best friends...who was accused of being in a sex ring ?
Or learn about one of John's closest confidants covering for a pedophile at the Ramsey Church?
Or power/sex cults operating in the town?
Or the outrageous plea bargains of pedophilia cases made by the DA's office?
The trick to the Ramsey case is not to focus on the Ramsey home. It's a dead end.
The focus needs to be on the people the Ramseys were close to....and the town of Boulder itself.
What was going on in the town before the murder of JBR....and did it play a role in her death?
Once you learn about Boulder, you will view the case in an entirely different way.

JONBENET RAMSEY CASE
THE GRAND JURY-PART III
So let's sum up how events truly played out when it comes to the Ramsey Grand Jury.....
The grand jury started it's work in September 1998
The grand jury finished up in October 1999. There are indictments, but not for murder. There are 4 indictments, two against John Ramsey and two against Patsy. The charges are the same for both parents. 1) Felony Child Abuse- Putting their child in a situation to be harmed or killed. 2) Aiding and abetting the killer in getting away with the crime.
District Attorney Alex Hunter refused to to sign the bill of indictments and to prosecute.
Alex Hunter misled(lied to?) the American public by making it seem that the Grand jury had issued NO Indictments.
The judge issued a lifetime gag order for everyone involved in the grand jury process. This silenced the jurors from speaking out. Anyone in the public who contacted a grand juror faced a contempt of court charge.
The judge placed the indictments under seal, which kept them hidden from the public.
While the indictments were under seal, the statute of limitations on the charges ran out in 2002. Patsy Ramsey died of cancer in 2006.
It took a lawsuit in 2013 to get a judge to release 4 pages from the 18 page Grand jury report. Finally, the public gets to know about the indictments.
----------------------------------------
CERTAIN QUESTIONS TO ASK
1) Why did the Grand Jury indict the way they did? Why no murder charge?
In 1999, the grand jury could have easily indicted one of the parents on a murder charge. Ever hear the expression "a district attorney can get a grand jury to indict a ham sandwich?"
The threshold is very low. The grand jury is there to indict, not to prosecute. Problems with DNA?.....that's the DA's problem to figure out when they go to trial. Ransom note was on pages from a notepad that belonged to the Ramseys. Pen used to write ransom note...belonged to the Ramseys. Paintbrush used in making the garrote...belonged to Patsy. Body found in the Ramseys basement.
Plenty enough to indict a parent. But the grand jury didn't do that. They added another person...the killer. Someone the parents aided and abetted in the murder of their child.
What did the Grand Jury hear to make them vote this way?
Which leads to another question........
What is in the other 14 pages of the Grand Jury Report?
Are there any other charges in those still sealed 14 pages? How about names of people other than John and Patsy?
And the final question is a very important question that everyone should ponder......
WHAT WAS THE "SITUATION"?
Look at the Child Abuse charge that John and Patsy were indicted for...and look closely at every word. In the legal world, words matter.......
The Grand Jury stated that John and Patsy did....
""""unlawfully, knowingly, recklessly and feloniously permit a child to be unreasonably placed in a situation which posed a threat to the child's life or health......"""
John and Patsy placed JonBenet in a situation which posed a threat to her.....
""A SITUATION""
The Grand Jury didn't just make things up. They indicted John and Patsy based on what they heard over a year's time investigating this case. Evidence shown to them....people giving testimony.
The Grand Jury didn't indicted John and Patsy for physical child abuse against JonBenet. It was for placing her in a SITUATION that posed a threat to her life.
The Grand Jury didn't indict John and Patsy for murder. They indicted them for helping the killer get away with the crime.
Boulder should release the remaining 14 pages of the Grand Jury Report.
Boulder should let the still living Grand Jury members speak freely about what they learned during their time investigating the Ramsey case.
This is what should happen, but sadly, it probably won't.
Boulder likes this case exactly where it is currently. A soon to be 29 year old mystery.
Welcome to the Ramsey Case. Welcome....to The Boulder Syndrome.

You can love Jesus deeply and still be ashamed of the way you spoke five minutes ago.
You turned toward the sink, knowing your words had landed on someone you love. Long after the plates are washed, one question remains: If Christ lives in me, why did that come out of me?
You meant to honor Him, yet your voice carried the familiar impatience you have confessed so many times before. The distance between your heart and Christ’s feels painfully wide.
Paul gives us a word for such a moment. As we behold the Lord, we “are being transformed into the same image” (2 Corinthians 3:18 NASB).
Being transformed means the work has begun. God sees more than the failure staring back at you tonight. The sorrow you feel does not earn His mercy. It may reveal that the Spirit is uncovering what you once excused and leading you toward repentance.
Jesus knew about that sentence before you spoke it and He saw the wound it would leave. At the cross, He carried its guilt with every other sin belonging to His people. The Savior who forgives you is also changing you, teaching you to answer others with the kindness He has shown you.
If an apology is needed, go give it without defending yourself. Ask the person you wounded to forgive you. Afterward, come to Christ with the shame you cannot scrub away at the kitchen sink.
He will meet you there with mercy already purchased and patience you could never exhaust.
Even here, in the part of yourself you wish they had never seen, you are His.
The sentence cannot be taken back. Christ is still changing the person who said it.

A man can sit in church for years and still never know the Lord.
He can hear sermons, sing hymns, attend meetings, learn Christian language, quote verses, defend doctrine, serve in ministries, and still remain a stranger to the new birth. Church attendance can surround a man with truth, but it cannot raise a dead soul to life. Only God can do that.
“Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).
This is one of the most terrifying realities in the visible church. Many have become comfortable around holy things without being made holy by God. They are familiar with sermons but unfamiliar with repentance. They know the sound of prayer but not the poverty of spirit. They speak of Christ but do not bow to Him. They have religion in their habits but no resurrection in their hearts.
“Having a form of godliness, although they have denied its power” (2 Timothy 3:5).
The danger is not merely outside the church. The danger is inside the pew, inside the choir, inside the ministry team, inside the pulpit, inside the home that calls itself Christian while the heart remains unchanged. A man may be known by the church and still be unknown by Christ.
“Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 7:21).
That should make us tremble. Jesus did not warn atheists only. He warned religious people who used His name, claimed spiritual activity, and yet never belonged to Him. Their mouths were full of ministry, but their lives were full of lawlessness. Their confidence was in what they did for Christ, not in whether they had truly been brought to Christ.
“And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness” (Matthew 7:23).
The new birth is not a mood. It is not a decision card. It is not church culture. It is not being raised in a Christian family. It is not agreeing with Christian morals. It is the supernatural work of God by which a sinner is made alive, given a new heart, brought to repentance, granted faith in Christ, and turned from darkness to light.
“Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you” (Ezekiel 36:26).
Do not comfort yourself merely because you are near the things of God. Judas was near Christ and perished. The Pharisees searched the Scriptures and rejected the One to whom the Scriptures testified. The Israelites saw mighty works and still hardened their hearts.
“Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves” (2 Corinthians 13:5).
The question is not, “Have I been in church?” The question is, “Have I been born again?” Do I hate the sin I once protected? Do I love the Christ I once resisted? Do I bow to the Word I once ignored? Do I grieve over my corruption? Do I run to the cross? Do I bear fruit that only grace can produce?
“By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments” (1 John 2:3).
A church seat cannot save you. A Christian family cannot save you. Baptism cannot save you. Ministry cannot save you. Knowledge cannot save you. Morality cannot save you. Only Christ can save sinners, and the man who belongs to Christ will not remain dead in the very sins from which Christ came to deliver him.
“They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him” (Titus 1:16).
So let every churchgoer tremble kindly before God. Let every professing Christian examine himself in the light of Scripture. Let no one hide behind years of attendance while the soul remains untouched by grace.
It is better to be disturbed now than damned later.
It is better to question false peace than to hear Christ say, “I never knew you.”
Religion can place you among the people of God.
Only the new birth can place you in Christ.

Oxford professor John Lennox on testing the reality of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ:
"Now, my final point is this. I'm a scientist of sorts, and people say to me, 'Come on. You can't believe this stuff.' Because in science and practical science you do experiments. You test your hypothesis. Christianity is not testable. Isn't it? Isn't it?
You see, the difference between the two last things I read were the difference between seeing something, those grave cloths, and working out an intellectual conclusion that something utterly remarkable has happened. That's not quite the same thing as meeting the risen Jesus. And you see, ladies and gentlemen, if it is true that Jesus rose from the dead, then He's still alive, and it's possible to meet Him.
Now, you can do an experiment, and it's this—this Jesus who claims to be risen tells us that if we're prepared to trust Him, repent of the mess we've made of our own lives, and the lives of other people, and we're prepared to receive Him as Lord and Controller of life as the risen Son of God, then He will give us forgiveness. Does the word forgiveness mean anything to you? He'll give us new life and a new power...
Now, ladies and gentlemen, this is the test...When you see people with narcotic or alcohol dependence, and they've no food to put on the table in front of their children, and you meet them then a year later, and something has happened. You say, 'What's happened to you?' and they say something like, 'Well, I met Jesus,' or 'I became a Christian,' or they'll put it different ways. When you see that again and again, you add two and two to get four.
I wouldn't sit here for a nanosecond if I didn't believe that not only is the resurrection of Jesus intellectually credible, but I believe it's existentially credible because the center part of my life and that of my wife and family is to walk with Him from day to day. Now, that may sound absolute jargon and mumbo-jumbo to you, but we're living in a universe where we discover that we are persons, and every analogy we know tells us that our origin cannot be sub-personal. It's supra-personal. And if we enjoy human friendship, what a magnificent thing it is if God makes a way where we can through faith in Christ become His sons and daughters and enjoy the biggest friendship and the most exciting friendship in the universe, and that is friendship with the risen Christ."

Both law and gospel righteousness have in common that they fully conform to the law. They differ, however, in that the first requires perfection from man himself, and the latter is merited by the Savior, becoming man’s portion by imputation and acceptance.—Wilhelmus à Brakel The Christian’s Reasonable Service, 2:342,
"If you and I are depressed by what's happening in the world today, well, it's because we are not truly christian in our thinking. This is the whole story of the Bible. These great powers have risen against God, and everybody has believed that they're going to be triumphant. Suddenly, God arises, and in a most contemptuous manner (I use my terms advisedly), he just humbles them, and puts them in their place, and goes on with his wonderful purpose. Many powers have arisen in the past that seem to be threatening the extermination of Christianity. They've all gone. And every power that is in the world today that seems to be threatening the christian faith will go in exactly the same way." - Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones

Jeffrey Epstein, Les Wexner and Fleet White Sr all connect to Aspen Colorado.
Who is Fleet White Sr? A wealthy oil man. He bought a Chalet in Aspen in 1964. Back in the 1980's and 1990s, the White Sr New Year's Eve party was one of the top parties to attend for the Aspen Jet-Set crowd.
I wonder if Jeffrey Epstein and Les Wexner ever attended the White Sr parties?
I wonder if there are any allegations out there that state that White Sr may have had similar interests in common with Epstein and Wexner.....

“It is not what distinguishes me from my fellow human beings that is really significant; it is what unites me to them.
