I can't stress enough how messy the Cubs and Red Sox situation is about to get if anything close to a storm like this comes to fruition next weekend (a high likelihood given the blocking pattern in eastern Canada).
The Red Sox are virtually locked into the second AL Wild Card spot, but the Cubs are among three teams within a game of each other for the three NL Wild Card spots and will likely need all three games played to determine seeding. If a multiday nor'easter visits Fenway next weekend however, the Red Sox may have no interest in playing the games at all. MLB is about to have quite an ordeal on their hands as the regular season comes to a close.
