Man I really miss the days where people were actually excited about game releases…
Studios aren't killing the video game industry, companies aren't either. Its literally the self entitled crybaby "gamers" that complain about every single new game that's released. I understand opinions and disliking certain games etc but just because a game isn't what you wanted or expected doesn't make its inherently bad.
Hot take:
The biggest lie new dads get sold is “you’ll still have time for games.”
You won’t. What actually happens is the games you used to play for 6 hours straight turn into 45-minute sessions where you’re half-watching a baby monitor and pausing every time someone makes a noise.
The weird part is the short sessions started feeling better. Less burnout, more “I actually want to be here.” Nobody talks about that version.
