THIS is the key piece! Y’all will let people call Ty, AB, Raven, Kelsey, or any other Black woman who puts on a Fever uniform everything but a child of God. You accuse them of supporting racism, bigotry, and everything else simply because they like and support their teammate. Their teammate who, to be clear, is not racist. Some of y’all have become so disconnected from reality that you’ve taken the behavior of random people on social media, bots, trolls, and people who use someone else’s name to push their own racist agendas, and placed that responsibility and that label on the players themselves. And no matter how many times they speak out against it, condemn it, or make their own beliefs clear, it will NEVER be enough for some of you. The bullying never stops because the goalpost just keeps moving. Y’all preach inclusion until someone doesn’t look, think, speak, or behave EXACTLY the way you believe they should. The second they don’t fit into the box you created for them, suddenly they’re no longer deserving of the same grace, respect, or inclusion you claim to stand for. That isn’t inclusivity.
