This is a hand-painted Jackson Pollock parody using the iconic Pepe the Frog color palette. On the right is an actual Pollock, and the inset shows the paintbrush Zed used to create his masterpiece. Paul Jackson Pollock (January 28, 1912 - August 11, 1956) was an American painter. A major figure in the abstract expressionist movement, he was widely noticed for his "drip technique" of pouring or splashing liquid household paint onto a horizontal surface, enabling him to view and paint his canvases from all angles. It was called all-over painting and action painting, because Pollock covered the entire canvas and used the force of his whole body to paint, often in a frenetic dancing style. I would personally pay way more for the Zed canvas than the Pollock. In Zed's own words, this is Pepe wearing a Punu mask. A Punu-Lumbo mask is a tribal mask native to the Ogooué River basin in Gabon (a country on the Atlantic coast of Central Africa). The masks are extremely valuable to collectors of African art, and have been sold at Sotheby's for well over $400,000. The masks are typically oval in shape, with narrowed eyes, arched eyebrows and small ears. Masks for females tend to be lighter and are considered prettier by the locals. The nine scale-like patterns on the forehead is said to be a "central eye" and also a flowering tree. In the image you can see Zed's original ink drawing, digitally colored final product and the source image he used.
