How na.... All these comparisons...
I don't really know much about Akwa Ibom or Calabar , but let me speak on behalf of my Igbo people. We Igbos don't really believe in buying cooked food. We prefer to prepare our own meals. One reason I think the Yorubas have thrived more in the food business is that they are more accustomed to buying prepared food rather than always cooking at home. Growing up, our Yoruba neighbours would give their children ₦20 every morning to buy food before going to school. Our parents, on the other hand, rarely did that. They made sure we had food prepared at home before leaving for school. Years ago, if you opened a commercial food business in the East, you might struggle to make sales because people weren't accustomed to buying cooked food. Almost everyone prepared their own meals at home. So, I think this difference in food culture is one of the reasons the Yorubas gained an advantage in the food business.

Dayo Isreal acts like a possessed and petulant child, he's an embarrassment to the office he holds, and i am very sure the FG has no hands in whatever show of shame he's currently engaged in. This isn't what the APC or President Tinubu stands for.

Your positions don't align sha.
Well, Cross, no it’s not about regional presidency for me. It’s about competence & som1 that will reset the country. Howeva, there’s such a thing as right person & right time. I won’t say more. You know where I fought from the last time. The factors don’t align this time.

They've been promising you people VP and "your turn" at presidency since when ? Una never learn be that
75
Why bother about him? Is he the only Igbo politician? The others aren't good enough to be VP? Smh
This man had the opportunity to be come the next VP, then use it as a launch pad for his 2031 or 2025 presidential bid, instead he foolishly left the coalition, thereby setting Ndi Igbo back politically. Tueh!

You guys are funny. Every election cycle, they promise SE presidency if only they'll "align". And you people lap it up.. Every damn time.... LOL
When the dust finally settles, everyone will come to appreciate the damage this particular 2027 run has done the SE. For now, it’s pumping everyone’s adrenaline so the rest of thinking logically all sound stupid to them.

How many CNG stations do you have? Why has CNG not been globally adopted?
Nigerian intellectuals will always reject evidence that's contrary to their dogma. That's why they always fail this country. CNG is cheaper than fuel but the public transport people refused to reduce their own fares because they see it as their own opportunity to do what Dangote has been doing to be a billionaire. What's that? Get subsidised input in a ring-fenced but then refuse to pass that réduction to the populace. CNG people will claim union solidarity with their diesel and petrol using counterparts. Dangote and his friends will claim patriotism Rice farmers will claim maximizing of return on investments. Car assemblers will claim cost of doing business/electricity. The result is the same. That is minus the part where the drivers will simply form a cabal and ferry our petrol across the border. Or the marketers register 2 thousand people as public transporters to collect subsidy then still sell at non subsidy prices in a sister station. But the Nigerian intellectual that feels he's only job is to be contrarian? Naaah

It was a proud moment yesterday at the 2026 Alex Otti Foundation Scholarship Banquet, held at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia. We welcomed and celebrated 81 exceptional young scholars who have joined our scholarship programme, and recognised six outstanding beneficiaries who graduated with First-Class Honours. In recognition of their remarkable achievement, I presented each of the six First-Class graduates with a reward of ₦500,000, and challenged all our scholars to pursue excellence with discipline, humility, and commitment. As part of our continuing investment in education and human capital development, I also announced an increase in the annual Alex Otti Foundation scholarship award from ₦250,000 to ₦350,000 per beneficiary, and directed that the new award be extended to all current scholars still in school. Since 2019, the Foundation has supported hundreds of deserving young people through a transparent and strictly merit-based scholarship programme. Importantly, the Foundation’s activities are independent of politics, and its objective will outlive my political career. Our belief remains unchanged: education is one of the most powerful tools for overcoming poverty, expanding opportunities, and building a prosperous society. I congratulate our scholars and encourage them to remain focused, grateful, and committed to making a positive difference in the world. The future belongs to those who prepare for it. I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Executive Director of the Foundation, Mr. Nnanna Chidiebere, his dedicated team, and the panelists for the excellent work they have done in sustaining this vision.

LOL... Old time Christians had crisis of faith too. Mandy questioned God. Many cried, wailed and all that... God isn't afraid of that... Peter betrayed him 3 times...
I said it the other day, there’s something questionable about the kind of Christianity you people claim to practise these days. Guess the name of the church she attends, btw.😃

Watch delays skyrocket
After 62 years, Nigeria has ended decentralized passport production. All passports will now be printed at one Centralised Personalisation Centre at NIS HQ Abuja. Capacity moved from 250-300/day to 4,500-5,000/day, with 1-week delivery promised.

This thing you people do...
It should trouble us greatly that the majority of the women in a pastor’s church can cheerfully chorus their materialism and greed. Firstly, it is a sinful disposition. It is the love of money. But that is not the major problem. The major problem is that they can do so before their minister. The Corinthians had the same problem. Someone was sleeping with his father’s wife, and they were perfectly comfortable with it. Paul rebuked them for this: “Instead, you ought to have gone into mourning and have put out of your fellowship the man who has been doing this.” (1 Cor. 5:2) What happened was that Paul rebuked them so sharply that it brought great sorrow and tears to them: “Even if I caused you sorrow by my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it - I see that my letter hurt you, but only for a little while - yet now I am happy, not because you were made sorry, but because your sorrow led you to repentance.” (2 Cor. 7:8–9) This, therefore, is a primary responsibility of the minister: to watch over the souls of God’s people so that they may be holy and blameless before God. Paul describes his ministry in these terms: “He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” (Col. 1:28) He also describes the purpose of his ministry to the Corinthians: “For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him.” (2 Cor. 11:2) In fact, ministers are meant to rebuke the sinful excesses of God’s people. And when almost the collective mind of a church is shaped by such attitudes, we must ask: What has the minister been teaching and building the people to look like all these years? As Paul noted, the life and character of the members should, to a significant degree, reflect what they have learned from their minister. Hence, he instructed the Philippians: “Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me: put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” (Phil. 4:9) These four points of contact with the minister: what the people have learned, received, heard, and seen - form the basis for understanding the outcome of his ministry among them. So, what have these people learned, received, heard, or seen in the minister that has formed them into what they are today? Or what makes the church attract such members, with so little apparent transformation of their sinful dispositions? Or what makes them remain in such a carnal state, almost collectively, while the minister appears to say, “I leave you to your decision”? Why would you dust your shoes and walk away? They are your flock! It is like a shepherd allowing a herd of sheep to walk off a cliff simply because that is what they want to do. You are the watcher over their souls, as Heb. says: “Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account.” (Heb. 13:17) You have been entrusted with responsibility and authority over them. Why, then, leave them to their doom? Why not rebuke them instantly, right there on that stage, as Jesus rebuked Peter, saying, “Get behind me, Satan!” (Matt. 16:23) That rebuke may have saved Peter's life. Or like when He told him he had no part in Him if he didn't allow Him wash his feet. The members left that moment laughing and rejoicing, while Satan had just won a battle over their minds. But God is alive. And He is just, true, and faithful. Amen.
