GM, Intelligence has a price. Actually, it always has, if you think about it. When you pay a lawyer, an engineer, or basically any expert, you're paying for their knowledge/intelligence because you don't understand that field yourself. . We once did this experiment at university where they measured intelligence. I had to take two tests. On one of them, if I remember correctly, I scored somewhere above 140–150. On the other one, I got something in the 70s. That's pretty fucking stupid territory. 😂 . The first one was some kind of general IQ test. The second was a very specific test basically measuring how intelligent you'd be in the ghetto... Let's just say I probably wouldn't have had a very good chance of making it to the next morning. 😂 . So different situations require different kinds of intelligence. We can't be experts at everything, even if sometimes we think we are. :))) . With AI spreading and models becoming cheaper and cheaper to use, intelligence is becoming a commodity — and its price keeps falling. But IN MY OPINION, that doesn't automatically mean every AI company is fucked. . Estimates suggest that less than 4–5% of the population uses publicly available AI tools, and the percentage among companies is somewhere around the same level. But more and more people are starting to use them. Except for Bitcoin 😂, pretty much every new technology starts out more expensive, gets cheaper over time, and eventually becomes accessible to more and more people. . This isn't just about getting a better ChatGPT. It's about the price of certain types of intelligence potentially collapsing. And that creates a completely different question: . What stays expensive? Judgment? Trust? Responsibility? Human relationships? Unique data? Physical execution? . Everything that remains scarce in the world. Datasets or knowledge packages I can buy and simply plug into my own AI system? Instead of just buying someone's book, maybe one day I'll be able to buy a piece of their accumulated intelligence. .
