If your company refers to engineers as the IT department, you have nothing to worry about. You were already breached last week.

It’s a “vintage” fall morning and the third day in a row with a pretty good frost on the pumpkin. 🎃. Today is my late sister Colette’s birthday and we have a bunch of family Birthdays right around this time so happy birthday 🎁 to all my family this week! Enjoying the colors!

All righty, I came accross it again. It’s halberd you mean, not hauberk. Blimey.
An error in Dragons of Winter Night: “Right,” the constable said briskly. “Now, where are the others?” At his gesture, his guards leveled their hauberks, pointing them at the companions. Whoops.

Rome’s Arch of Constantine has a surprising secret 🏛️ Almost none of its decoration was originally made for Constantine. Join Darius Arya as he uncovers the story behind this iconic monument. Watch: youtube.com/watch?v=SAXWsOrG… #ancientromelive #ancientrome

7 things I learned by working on a game in 7 years: 1. You are human, take a break, take them often - one day every week, and one month every four. If you don’t, you’re not going to make it, because you’re going to be too tired to get anything done. Even God took one day off!

Better get the blankets out! 🥶
The first freeze of the season is upon us and temperatures as low as the upper 20s are possible west of the Blue Ridge. While temperatures will be warmer towards the Piedmont they will still be cooler than seasonal averages. Frost is possible in counties along the Blue Ridge.

I can say as an old-timer Motorola radio engineer, she was right beneath Marconi and Shannon in the pantheon of gods.
She was truly amazing... and now you understand the running joke in Blazing Saddles.

Here is the Tengu. A Japanese demon from Forbidden Fortress. There are six of these models in the base set. Lots of detail which it strikes me is typical of this the second base game of Shadows of Brimstone. That means more effort to paint. 🧵

Pope Leo XIV has been diagnosed with lung cancer, the Vatican confirmed. The 71-year-old underwent surgery at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on 13 October, with doctors removing the lower lobe of his right lung. Tests confirmed lung adenocarcinoma. The surgery was successful, with no complications. Earlier this year, Leo quoted Gandalf in his first encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas. In paragraph 213, he drew on Tolkien’s words from The Return of the King while discussing our responsibility to do good, even when problems seem overwhelming: “It is not our part to master all the tides of the world, but to do what is in us for the succour of those years wherein we are set, uprooting the evil in the fields that we know, so that those who live after may have clean earth to till.” Wishing him strength and a smooth recovery.

That detail, so prevalent in Japanese culture, think kimonos and samurai armor, make painting the set harder then the base Shadows of Brimstone set of western horror. At least that’s what I’ve found. The Tengu’s mask for instance.

Aaron Lovejoy painted it without the eyes and teeth. But looking at historical masks, they typically have them. I could have ignored it to make it a simpler job but I thought it looked very cool with that detail and it would have bugged me if I didn’t. Five more to go. 😵‍💫
