Apparently @ZUtALabs little Robotic Printer made an appearance on “Did I Mention the Invention” on CBS. Flooded with messages. Love it when our little device randomly appears on shows 😄

New prototype shells 🔥 The excitement of being a consumer hardware startup and getting to this stage of prototyping - when you’re fixing the final bugs - and ready to pack everything up into the shells and start showing it around 🤫🔥😄

I get asked this question so much - one of tech’s greatest questions - why are printers so bad & why has no company done anything…? Short answer - big old incumbents afraid of themselves, and lucky to have an incredible “built in” moat. However, @ZUtALabs is almost there! 😄

Why is building micro-robotics so hard? You’re dealing with many disciplines - SW, HW, mechanical, navigation, tracking and more - and you gotta get everything to work together. Just imagine finding a bug in such a system - it can be a tiny little piece that needs extra glue…

Printers - not for long! @ZUtALabs #AlmostHere
I've been in the tech world for a good minute, and there's 2 things that have somehow been BAD the whole time... Printers and Car software

A great piece by Rachel! Printers are the most frustrating & hated tech device - yet we need them. Like REALLY NEEED them. They really are the neglected child of Silicon Valley. Read this and you’ll understand why we’re on such an incredible mission here @ZUtALabs !

Oooo we need this book! @ZUtALabs 😆
Printers are the bane of any IT support. I’ve often muttered “I hate printers” under my breath when ours stops working. My amazing wife found this book and it’s hysterical!

7\But other than that, I really don’t remember when was the last time I got excited about seeing or getting to use a new piece of tech… And it’s a shame - because there’s so much that can be done. There’s so much more to add to today’s consumer tech.

6\ It’s been a long time for me… I have to admit, and I’m of course in no way objective here, but in way over a decade, the only time I felt that was seeing the @ZUtALabs printer print - it just starts running on the paper and prints out a full page. Seriously Magical.

The Smartspeaker is also now a WiFi extender. We totally didn't see that coming... <that's sarcastic - you'll see all other Smartspeakers follow that> We know what the next steps are >> @ZUtALabs...

1\ With recession & cuts, it’s time to share some “scrappiness” knowledge Thanks @businessbarista for prompting this I’ve been building @ZUtALabs with no VC backing and was forced to be resourceful This is how I hacked conferences like CES and Web Summit (sorry @paddycosgrave)
What's the scrappiest thing you've ever done to build your business?
