Please stop subsidizing demand and just build more housing
JUST IN: First-time homebuyers could get as much as $50,000 for a down payment on a house, under a draft bill to be introduced by Senator Jeff Merkley and cosponsored by Senator Ron Wyden, per Axios

Very pleased to see that my gambling loss tax deduction fix has finally been included in a tax package. I encourage my colleagues to push it through @WaysandMeansGOP this week as quickly as possible.

Kid, call me when you win a November election or accomplish anything (literally anything) professionally. Until then, the adults are working to make Nevada better. Try not to get in our way.

Says the dude who lost an Assembly primary and then ran for Treasurer. 🤣 You do have the jokes, I'll give you that!

Drew, you’re the second least qualified person to ever run for the office. Your facts are wrong, your experience is nonexistent and if any Nevadan wants the Treasury to be successful they should vote for someone else. Third time isn’t the charm. Stop trying to fail up.
Hey Zach - As you're aware... 1) The two credit rating increases happened in 2019, years before Tya began working at the Treasurer's Office. (The highway bond increase was nice, but not a GO rating increase.) The credit rating increases happened when the woman you fired -- and who subsequently sued you for age discrimination -- was in Tya’s role. 2) The credit rating increases happened as a result of policy decisions made in 2017 -- before you were in office. Since the 2019 increases, your office has done some good. I believe Cari Eaton was behind the smart debt-reserve changes. But I haven't seen an initiative from your office that says, "here is what Moody's, Fitch, and S&P need from Nevada to reach a AAA rating and here's how we get there." That's what I'll do. 3)  I will create a Credit Rating Enhancement Committee, much like the one that has been so successful in Idaho. The committee will make recommendations to the governor, state lawmakers, and local officials that, over time, will allow NV to reach a AAA rating. 4) People who currently work in the Treasurer's Office (including Tya herself) have made it clear that Tya's role is limited to promoting the Millennium Scholarship (which she has driven to insolvency and I have a plan to save), overseeing prepaid tuition (new prepaid tuition contracts have fallen by about half under Tya's mismanagement), and the art contest (Cute! 🧑‍🎨I’ll keep it!). So she has nothing to do with decisions that would impact the state's credit rating. 5) Several members of your own team have stated that you recruited one of the least competent Treasurer's Office employees to run for Treasurer. They don't believe in her and they will not work under her if she is elected. I look forward to working together after November 3. I want to keep what you're proud of in place and retain the best employees who currently work in the Treasurer's Office.

Hi Drew! Our team (including @TyaMathis) got the last two increases. What’s your actual plan for the next one? Or is this just you making stuff up again?
Nevada is one step below the top credit rating. When I’m Treasurer, I’ll put a plan in place to get Nevada to the highest possible rating. Better credit means cheaper loans for the state—saving Nevadans from wasting millions on interest and avoiding tax increases. spglobal.com/ratings/en/regu…

I read this story every year. And cry. And remember. And hope.
There are thousands of stories like this about 9/11, and hundreds of thousands of stories that will come about our current crisis. Today, we thank those heroes who ran towards danger. Tomorrow we keep pushing to be a little more like them. #NeverForget newyorker.com/magazine/2002/…

I was given my name by the Iroquois Nation many hundreds of years ago. By 1660 my name was printed on maps by the Europeans as they accepted the Native name which means Beautiful waters. In 1867 the Canadian government decided to use my name for their providence.

The reality is that Peer to Peer is a joke. Anyone betting on PM's is basically betting against a Market Maker (another word for illegal bookmaker) I'm bothered that the Market Makers don't have to pay the Federal Excise Handle Tax, League Fees, State Gaming Taxes, Compliance and Legal Fees, Fees for League Data, per Wager Fees etc...... while all the Legal Operators have to pay the fees for the industry. I fully understand why the consumer enjoys the lower cost alternative but a shrewd End Around the law isn't the long term sustainable outcome.
