🇷🇺🇫🇮 ANTI-SATELLITE SPACE WARS:
Russian military satellite KOSMOS 2612 is now 135 meters (445 feet) from ICEYE-X36 spy satellite that provides tracking data to Ukraine.
If it keeps maneuvering the same way, it will close to 45 meters (145 feet) on Monday, tomorrow.
-> First aggressive satellite encounter in history!
Will the Russian anti-satellite weapon hit the Finnish spy satellite with a laser to burn its camera, use electronic warfare, or just ram it?
Space war about to start?

Russia launched mysterious military satellites into Space on 16 April 2026 from Plesetsk aboard a Soyuz-2.1b
The exact payload is secret, but recent activity points at counter-satellite weapons.
-> The mysterious Russian military satellite Kosmos 2612 is nearing the Finnish commercial spy sattelite ICEYE-X36 dangerously.
Ukraine is known to use the ICEYE for targeting and Russia was recently hit with deep strikes, that relied on sattelite data.
The aggressive approach started in exact this timeframe.
⁉️ The important questions are:
- Did Russia deploy anti satellite weapons to space?
- Is Putin willing to take down targeting satellites to enforce his red lines?
We’ll find out soon enough, it could be that the satellite just closes in as a warning and stays there … but what then?
-> Taking down a commercially Finnish satellite in space certainly would be an interesting escalation, especially since it’s not a NATO case because it’s not on nato ground.
Keep in mind these maneuvers are fuel intensive and the Russian satellite can’t use so much fuel for nothing!
The satellite will run out of fuel and just be bricked without a purpose, if they just play games. So these maneuvers are meant for something!

I think the Flamingo can officially be declared the most overrated and useless missile ever to be used in this war.
It has an interception rate of around 98%.
In addition to Ukraine's massive overnight drone attack on St Petersburg, Ukraine launched at least 17 FP-5 "Flamingo" cruise missiles at Russia, all of which were once again shot down by Russian air defence.
The missiles were launched in three groups, probably targeting St Petersburg and possible Moscow, along with other regions of Russia. The interceptions took place over Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk, Smolensk, Oryol, and Tula Oblast.

🇷🇺 Russian Geran and Lancet drone crews struck two maritime targets in the Black Sea, hitting a large dry cargo vessel and completely destroying a Ukrainian unmanned surface boat.
The Geran attack targeted the cargo ship, while a Lancet loitering munition intercepted and eliminated the Ukrainian naval drone.
The operation involved two distinct types of unmanned aircraft, extending Russian strike capabilities against both large vessels and smaller maritime threats.
A cargo ship hit and a naval drone destroyed. Russian aerial drones continue expanding their presence over the Black Sea, challenging vessels operating far beyond the coastline.

The Russian "Admiral Makarov" frigate, which was damaged by Ukrainian drones on August 12, was the ship which launched ~6 Kalibr cruise missiles at Kryvyi Rih today.
During the past 2 months, the ship was repaired at Novorossiysk Naval Base, and is now able to launch Kalibr cruise missiles again.
