imagine discord got banned and unbanned in just 2 days. so apparently, the government CAN move fast when it wants to. funny how that same urgency is nowhere to be found when filipinos ask for livable wages, effective flood control, and real action against corruption.

Discord users in the Philippines may have trouble connecting to the app.
This started after the CICC warned Discord and Reddit that they could face restrictions unless they appointed local representatives.
Both companies responded. CICC then extended the deadline.
Discord has not been officially banned nationwide. However, many Globe and DITO users report connection errors. This points to a block at the internet-provider level, most likely DNS filtering, not a full government shutdown.
What users report works for now: switch to Google DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) or Cloudflare DNS (1.1.1.1 / 1.0.0.1), then restart the app.
