Recruiting Ph.D. Students for Fall 2026
I joined the @UCF as an Assistant Professor in @UCFComputerSci and started the Designing Interactive & Intelligent Data (DIID) Lab), where we study, design, and develop ways for people to better understand, communicate, and experience data.
Went down to college station for a couple of @AtlantaDream games last year, GCA is just terrible. It's the worst/smallest pro/college sports home court I've experienced.
@GeorgiaTech @GTAthletics do something
🅰️💯
THE @ATLANTADREAM ARE HEADED TO THE FINALS 🅰️
The Dream defeat the Liberty 3-0 in the Semis to advance to the Finals for the first time since 2013!

Well said, probably the most important factor that helps me deal with all the noises these days
I agree with all of this. But I’d add one more reason why I’m doing a PhD: freedom.
There may be few other times in life when you have this much freedom to slow down, think deeply about what the hard problems really are, decide what you want to explore, and figure out how to explore them.
It’s the freedom to dream big—and have the time and space to try to make those dreams real.
And freedom also means something more ordinary, but equally valuable: having ownership over your own time and energy. You can choose when to work, when to take a break, and how to structure your life around the problems you care about.
To me, that kind of intellectual and personal freedom is one of the most precious parts of doing a PhD.

Former special counsel Jack Smith was pressed by Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) on Tuesday during his testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee about whether he attended a NBA game between the Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors in Atlanta in early February 2024.
Smith said he “definitely did not go" to an Atlanta Hawks game. "I think you've already perjured yourself," Schitt said during the exchange, calling Smith a "total dirtbag."
Smith said he instead attended a Maryland-Iowa women’s basketball game to see Iowa star Caitlin Clark play. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) suggested Schmitt had confused the Iowa Hawkeyes with the Atlanta Hawks and said Smith deserved an apology.
😂
Replying to @TaliaRinger
You laugh now, and then your NSF proposal is going to be rejected because it wasn't about super intelligence, and then you'll be sorry. /s
