One of our favorite food waste companies is @YourLocal An app you can use to locate restaurants in your area with a food surplus. Your local lets you purchase these meals at a discount. Sheetal and I fed ourself for months off of this app while we were at @foodXhealth in NYC

@thehill highlighted company @RethinkFoodNYC who is working to change the way excess food is handled and consumed. Companies like this, and Food-X cohort 10 company @YourLocal, are working to connect consumers with food that would otherwise go to waste. thehill.com/changing-america…

I love using @YourLocal, it's an app that helps reduce food waste and gets you deals on end-of-day overstock from restaurants and small shops in your neighborhood. If you happen to live or work in Greenpoint, Paulie Gee's is 2-for-1 slices on it today: apps.apple.com/us/app/yourlo…
