安東での首脳会談を取材した際、大統領府の記者団と一緒に朝からバスで安東に向かいました。到着は14時ごろの予定。「これは昼ご飯を食べる時間がないな」と思い、サンドイッチを持参して乗車。 ところが途中、安東でもない場所で突然バスが停車。「みなさん、降りてくださーい！」と言われ、何事かと思ったら、なんと昼食の時間でした。すでにお店が予約されていたんです。 日本だったら昼食は各自で済ませることになりそうですが、韓国では大統領府記者団の移動スケジュールに昼食がしっかり組み込まれている。「何があっても昼ご飯は食べる！」という韓国の文化を強く感じた出来事でした笑　もちろん、私はこういう文化が大好きです。

在韓友人の話がほんまおもろかった笑 “銀行に行ったら窓口いくつかあるうちの一つしか稼働してなくて、客がみんなイライラし始めて帰る人続出し、支店長らしき人が「職員が食事中なのでごめんなさい」と謝ってて、韓国人の食事の重要性とパリパリ文化が衝突してた。私は日本人として忍耐を見せてきた”
