Prince William pub is apparently shut for good at the top of Ashurst Beacon. Never has there been a better opportunity for someone to open up a cycle cafe there.

Tomorrow one of the gods of cycling in the north west is celebrating his 60th birthday by climbing the toughest hill around a total of 60 times.
He has smashed his total by 1,456 per cent to hit a whopping £3,640.

Gravel exploits curbed for three weeks while the talented Phil from @TargetComposite fixes my @planetxbikes On One Space Chicken. Tru-axle somehow came loose at end of ride and tyre rubbed against rear stay causing this damage.

Enjoying the switch to gravel so much lately. Discovering new places that I would never have found before and, I tell you what, it's a bloody good workout slogging along dirt and gravel tracks.
What's the worse case of wheel sucking you've ever encountered?
For me, it was a guy who sat on my wheel a few winters ago while I slogged through a block headwind.
He didn't come through and help, so I braked and said "at least engage in some convo while I am doing all the work"
What have I started. Good thing about being in a club with a great bunch, they aren't afraid to take the piss out of you

Channelled my inner Marco Pantani on today's exploring gravel ride along the Cheshire Lines. In all my years living near it, never ridden it. Bit of a roadie snob, y'see.
