This week, York Region Children’s Aid Society celebrates the incredible foster families who open their hearts and homes to children and youth in our community. 💚🏡
Together, we’re building brighter futures, one child, one family and one act of kindness at a time.
💚 Invisible Disabilities Week | October 18–24
Invisible disabilities can affect how a person learns, communicates, moves through the world, or manages everyday life.
You never know what someone may be experiencing. A little understanding can make a big difference.
Today, we recognize Persons Day and celebrate the historic milestone that affirmed women as “persons” under Canadian law in 1929.
Let’s honour the progress of the past and keep working toward a brighter, more equitable future for generations to come.
ONTARIO FOR ALL 💛

💚 World Mental Health Day | October 10
Today, we’re reminded that taking care of our mental health is just as important as taking care of our physical health. For children and youth, having caring adults, safe spaces, and someone who listens can make a meaningful difference.
Strong communities grow when we show up for children, youth and families. You don’t have to do it alone and you don’t have to be a foster parent to make an impact. 🌟

🤝 Treat others with respect
👂 Listen and understand
💚 Stand up against bullying and harm
🌱 Be part of creating safe, caring communities
