The Chiefs tried hard to lose this game, but playing against the Chargers it’s almost impossible to lose no matter how hard you try.

Ladies and gentlemen, the next Mayor of Vancouver. How long before the city collapses into shambles?
Congratulations Vancouver on choosing this man as your top pick for City Councillor. This city is most certainly on the right track. Shame on the media for ignoring his horrid past, and shame on citizens who choose to remain uninformed. #vanpoli

I’m a bit surprised that the @nationalpost published this piece by John Robson, because it slams their boy Carney, thus risking their welfare payments that keep the lights on. Also because every word it true. nationalpost.com/opinion/joh…

This is the post of the year.
Dear Secretary Bessent @SecScottBessent, My name is Everett Stern. In 2010 I was a compliance officer at @HSBC. From a back office in New Castle, Delaware, I watched billions of dollars move to drug cartels, sanctioned regimes, and terrorist organizations. The enemies of the United States. I documented it, I escalated it, and when the bank would not act, I took it to the @FBI, the @CIA, and eventually the @SECGov. The result was a $1.92 billion settlement. At the time, it was one of the largest in American history. It was also about five weeks of the bank’s profit. Not one banker was charged. Not one went to prison. I paid a different price. I lost my career, my savings, and my place in the industry I had trained for. I was blacklisted. Every door in American finance closed at once. I slept on a camping cot in a 300 square foot apartment because I could not afford a bed, and I waited tables at @PFChangs to eat. I tell you this not for sympathy, but so you understand that I know exactly what it costs to do the right thing in American finance, and exactly how little the system does in return. I made that sacrifice because I believed it would change something. Yesterday, your department fined @BankofAmerica $1.2 billion for failing to report more than $5 billion in suspicious transactions, some of it tied by your own findings to Chinese laundering networks, narcotics, and the southwest border, alongside 475 apparent sanctions violations touching Russia, Iran, and global terrorism. The bank admitted it willfully violated the Bank Secrecy Act. Fourteen years after HSBC. A bank with “America” in its name. And once again, not one individual charged. Secretary Bessent, I want to say plainly what I believe you already know. The fines are not working. A fine is paid by shareholders, absorbed by the balance sheet, and forgotten by the next earnings call. Bank of America reported earnings this morning. Nobody who set the alert thresholds, nobody who decided the 2024 cease and desist could wait, nobody who chose the backlog over the law will lose a single thing they value. Their lives are untouched. That is the entire reason the behavior repeats. This is money laundering. This is blood money. Money that reaches a cartel buys fentanyl that kills Americans. Money that reaches a terrorist organization buys the next attack. This country has fought a war on drugs and a war on terror for decades, at enormous cost in lives and treasure, and all the while we have allowed the financing to flow through institutions we charter and regulate. Cut off the money and we win. We have never seriously tried. There is also a question of equal justice that I cannot let go. Before I walked into the FBI building to report HSBC, I stopped in front of the Great Seal on the wall and read the words engraved beneath it: “Justice is the defense of our liberty.” I believed that. I still want to. But every day in this country, people go to prison for crimes that are nothing next to moving money for the people who want Americans dead. A suit, a title, and a corporate badge should not be a shield from the consequences that apply to everyone else. If a street dealer goes to prison for what he sells, the banker who moved the cartel’s money should be standing next to him. I also want to raise something that is rarely said in these conversations. Why has no one inside Bank of America come forward the way I did? The answer is that everyone in American banking knows what happened to me, and to the whistleblowers who came after. The last person who spoke up is the only policy anyone believes. That is a culture problem, and it starts with leadership, in the banks and in the agencies that regulate them. This is not a political issue. It has spanned administrations of both parties. It is a national security issue, and I am asking you to treat it as one. Three things would change the math overnight. Refer individuals for criminal prosecution. Not the analyst in the queue. The executives who set the thresholds and chose the risk. One banker in handcuffs would do more than every fine in Treasury’s history combined. End “too big to jail.” An institution cannot be too big to fail and too big to jail at the same time. If it is the first, it must be held to a higher standard, not a lower one. And if Bank of America will not act as America’s bank, review its charter. A national charter is a privilege granted on behalf of the American people. It should be conditioned on not moving money for the people trying to kill them. Secretary Bessent, you said yesterday that these actions send a clear message that even the biggest institutions are not above the law. With respect, the institution was never the problem. The people inside it are above the law, and they know it. Until that changes, I will keep writing letters like this one, and the next bank will keep paying the next fine. I gave up everything I had to stop this. I am asking you to use the power you have to finish it. Respectfully, Everett A. Stern HSBC Whistleblower Founder and Intelligence Director, Tactical Rabbit

Nik Nanos just proved that 79% of Canadians are dummies
According to Nanos Research this morning, 79% of Canadians support Canada negotiating associate membership with the EU, even though not a single person can explain what that entails. Fascinating world we live in…

🚨💥REMEMBER: Canada has given Zelensky $25.5 Billion. LOOK AROUND. We are in a fucking affordability crisis. IT FEELS LIKE WE ARE TEETERING ON COLLAPSE. We are borrowing money to give to Ukraine that will NEVER be paid back to us. THERE ARE *NO* REPAYMENT PLANS IN PLACE. And have the people of Ukraine EVER thanked Canada? Like, have you seen their media or ANY officials other than Zelensky say 'THANK YOU'? NO. NEVER. (Listen, Ukraine in NOT our fucking responsibility. As long as 1 Canadian does without - not a single penny should leave the country for any form of aid - ESPECIALLY military aid.)

Navi Pillay wasn’t awarded the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize for promoting peace or international law. She was awarded it because she is obsessively anti-Israel. I know this firsthand. When she served as UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, I was part of Israel’s delegation in Geneva and responsible for liaison with her office and the Human Rights Council (2008-2013). Her obsessive bias against Israel was already clear then. The official citation praised her “efforts to promote peace and international law.” But the Nobel Committee chair admitted that her leadership of the UN Commission of Inquiry, which declared Israel guilty of genocide in Gaza, was “an important part of the reasoning” for the award. This is the same Navi Pillay who, before heading that inquiry, had already signed a manifesto calling to “Sanction Apartheid Israel,” written to President Biden demanding Israel be punished, and built a record of extreme bias against the Jewish state. When she learned she won, she immediately highlighted “the delivery of the report on Gaza, naming what’s happening there as genocide.” This wasn’t about the rule of law. It was a political reward for obsessively targeting Israel.
These guys (composing the UN so called Commission of Inquiry) accuse Israel of genocide in Gaza: Navi Pillay: As early as 2020, she signed a petition calling for sanctions against Israel; Kothari: has accused the “Jewish lobby” of controlling the media Sidoti: makes his living by advising outlawed organizations. … And none of them had anything to say about the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7, nor do they have anything to say about all the atrocities carried out by Islamist terrorist organizations against minorities in Syria and elsewhere..

An ultra-wealthy British Columbian wrote in the Vancouver Sun this week that she "wholeheartedly" welcomes higher taxes, calling the B.C. NDP plan a tax she "won't even feel." I’ve read pieces like this before from ultra-wealthy people who feel the need to chime in on tax policy. The reality: the idea is grossly misinformed. But she's right on one count: she wouldn’t feel the increased tax burden. By her own account, much of her wealth sits in financial assets, and she chooses when to turn them into income. In plain English: wealth held for growth isn't taxed until it's sold. And when it is, only half the gain is taxed. A tax increase that starts at $190,405 of income barely touches someone in that position. Who does it touch? The family doctor. The surgeon. The engineer. The entrepreneur still building something. The people who earn fully taxable income every year and take the risks that grow an economy. Under the NDP plan, B.C.'s top combined marginal rate would jump to 57.5%. Anyone earning more than about $266,000 would face 55.5%, higher than the top rate in any other province in Canada. Here's the irony. In an earlier piece, she explained that her family's wealth came from a startup sold to Twitter and a career in Silicon Valley. That's exactly the kind of risk-taking B.C. should want more of, and exactly the kind a 57.5% rate tells the next founder to pursue somewhere else. If the author wants to pay more, nothing is stopping her. Both the B.C. government and the federal government are qualified donees under the Income Tax Act. Write the cheque to either one. You'll even get a donation receipt. In other words, volunteer your own money. Don't encourage poorly thought-out taxation policy that will drive away the risk-takers and investment B.C. desperately needs. ca.news.yahoo.com/opinion-ul…

🔥GREEN SLUSH FUND FIASCO🔥 According to perma-drunk @MelanieJoly and compulsive liar @MarkJCarney… …It’s NOT in the public’s interest to get back our $34,000,000.00!! UM, IT SURE AS FUCK IS. (Either they get that fucking money back or this country should immediately begin a tax strike. They should also immediately lose their jobs. This is insane.)

One of the craziest parts of this is that Annabel Lyon, who helped lead the campaign to smear Galloway as a sex criminal, subsequently took over as UBC creative-writing director, Galloway’s old job. She’s there to this day, making $200K+. UBC rewarded her for ruining Galloway’s life
In 2018 @bradcran wrote the definitive piece on the railroading of Steven Galloway by UBC & CanLit With Galloway now exacting courtroom revenge on false accusers, Brad reflects on how his groundbreaking @quillette coverage of the saga changed his own life quillette.com/2026/10/06/pay…

The next three games for the #LAChargers are against the Broncos, the Chiefs, and the Rams. With that anemic offence, who among us doesn’t think that the Chargers, now 0-4, will go 0-7 in their first seven games?

Mark Carney is either deliberately or incompetently making it impossible for manufacturers in Canada to financially survive by walking away from trade deals. And then he threatens to sue those companies when they are forced to lay off workers because of the financial conditions he contributed to. It’s totally bonkers.

🇨🇦🇺🇸 I find it embarrassing that we’re booing American teams. This whole “Elbows Up” mentality has gone way too far. Disagree with Trump. Disagree with tariffs. Debate American policy all you want. But turning our closest neighbour into some kind of national enemy is ridiculous. Americans aren’t our enemy. They’re our neighbours, friends, customers, business partners and—in many cases—family. Sports should bring people together, not become another battlefield for political resentment. Cheer for Canada because you love Canada. You don’t have to hate America to be a proud Canadian. Enough with the manufactured hostility. 🇨🇦🤝🇺🇸 #Canada #USA #CanadaUS #ElbowsUp #Sports
