⚡️ 111 ACTIVE NODES ON @THORChain ⚡️
That's the count after the latest churn, with several more already waiting to join. But the number isn't the best part. It's who is showing up 👇
A wave of new, unique operators, each running a single node. That makes the network, stronger, more decentralized and more independent.
⚔️ THE BOND WARS ARE COMING
At this pace, every active slot will soon be full. Once the network stops accepting more active nodes, slots go to the nodes with the highest BOND (the RUNE staked inside the node).
Every three days, the network rotates part of its nodes to prevent capture and increase decentralization.
So nodes will have to compete for bond providers to stay in the active set and avoid being churned out.
💰 WHY IT MATTERS
A node outside the active set earns nothing until it gets back in. $RUNE staking rewards come 100% from network usage. No incentives. No inflation.
⏳ DON'T WAIT FOR THE SLOTS TO FILL UP
Node operators: list your node and start attracting bond providers now, while there's still room.
Bond providers: pick your node and secure your spot before the best ones are full.

🐋 THORChain's hardest-working pool yesterday held $172K of depth.
It moved $5.95M.
Thirty-four times its own size in one day — and collected fees worth 4.3% of the entire pool.
Small pools with real flow beat big pools with none. $RUNE

Senator Cotton is not alone—Boozman, Daines, Fischer, Marshall, Moran, Rounds, Sheehy, Sullivan, Thune, Wicker, Young, and a dozen more oppose permanent DST with its 9am sunrises. We need sunrise at 8am or earlier, which means permanent Standard Time!
Tom Cotton is the one ass holding up the Sunshine Protection Act while the rest of the country is sick of this twice-a-year BS.
This act needs to pass ASAP. I’m tired of changing my damn clock.
House already passed it. Senate just needs a vote. One senator is sitting on it like it’s his personal hobby.
Farmers, hunters, and everybody with a job want the sun in the afternoon. Lock the damn clock.
Arkansas, call Cotton and tell him to get off his ass.

"THORChain is for money laundering."
Let's do this with numbers.
In 2024, TD Bank pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering. First US bank in history to do it. 🚨
$3.09B in penalties. Three laundering networks moved $670M+ through its accounts. One man moved $470M and bribed staff with gift cards.
$18.3 trillion in customer activity went unmonitored.
TD Bank has KYC. Passport scans. Compliance officers. An AML department. A pause button on every account.
The criminal chose it anyway — specifically because, in the DOJ's words, it had "the most permissive policies and procedures."
Now the crypto number.
Chainalysis: illicit addresses received $154B in 2025. Sounds enormous. It's under 1% of all crypto transaction volume. And 84% of it is stablecoins — the assets issuers CAN freeze at will. ⚡
Compare that to the UN estimate for money laundered through the regular financial system: $1.6 trillion a year. 2.7% of global GDP.
Ten times the crypto figure. Through institutions that all have your ID on file.
So what is THORChain actually?
Think of it as a vending machine for currency.
You put Bitcoin in one side, Ethereum comes out the other. No clerk, no counter, no approval. The machine doesn't know your name because it was never built to ask. 🔑
Nobody says a vending machine launders money when a thief buys a soda.
Here's the part critics skip.
Public roads are used by getaway cars. SWIFT moved cartel money for decades. Cash is still the laundering instrument of choice worldwide. We don't shut down roads, wires or banknotes — we police the criminals using them.
And THORChain is the most traceable of all of them. Every swap is permanently public. That's how analysts identified the Bitget flows within hours — by reading the ledger.
Try that with a cash courier. 💧
The real difference nobody wants to state plainly:
A bank CAN freeze you and chooses when. THORChain CANNOT, so it never has to choose.
One of those is a policy. The other is physics.
The admin key was deleted from the code in February 2025. Not disabled. Removed. Parameters now move only by validator quorum.
And the proof isn't rhetoric: when THORChain's own pools were drained for $10.7M in May, it didn't blacklist the attacker either.
Those who would freeze you to protect you are not safer.
They just have a button. And a decade of guilty pleas showing how they use it. ⚡

Hard to tell if this is ignorance or malice on display, but either way it's simply wrong.
The May 2026 hack *broke* @THORChain - made it inoperable. That is why it halted. It is actually quite common for parts of TC to be halted for various reasons, usually bugs.
There's a huge difference between closing a road to traffic for repair and selectively choosing who is allowed to drive on it.
TC would allow the funds stolen from it to be swapped through it.
Also very importantly, TC does not obfuscate anything - it is completely transparent. It is trivial to trace all funds moved through TC. No obfuscation, no laundering.
Honestly expect better of @austincampbell, usually has pretty good takes
"THORChain voluntarily chose to launder sanctioned funds for the North Koreans. There are consequences for that."
Austin on why THORChain is a cleaner DOJ case than Tornado Cash
"This is where I think the THORChain folks have now got themselves in a serious pickle. You showed that you have the capability to stop your chain when you choose to do so, and you chose not to do so here. That is very different than infrastructure that has no off switch."
"If you got exploited yourself and there was no way to fix it and it just happened, okay, I buy your claim of decentralization then, because the point at which you really would use it is when you are being harmed. And if you don't, that's pretty good evidence you can't."
"However, THORChain did. They transparently did. They stopped the chain when there was an exploit. They've done it. They showed they have the capability."
"So to me, this is actually a much cleaner case for people at the DOJ than something like Tornado Cash - where it was never turned off. This one's clearly, you have elective control over the network, and you're choosing when to use it and choosing when not to use it."

THORChain is decentralized and permissionless like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB Chain.
What responsibility should Bitcoin, Ethereum, and BNB Chain bear when handling known stolen funds?

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in South Carolina after a POLICE CHIEF threatened to get a WARRANT, ARREST, and send the U.S. MARSHALS after a man...
...because he left a FACEBOOK COMMENT critizing Flock cameras.
Yes, a man cussed at the police department's license plate cameras online, and the CHIEF OF POLICE told him FEDERAL MARSHALS were coming to GRAB HIM!!!
The man's name is Christian McClellan, he lives in Ridge Spring, South Carolina.
Back in August, somebody cut down about 14 surveillance cameras around town.
The Ridge Spring Police Department posted about it on Facebook.
Christian commented. Something along the lines of "F*** you and your Flock cameras."
About a week later, his phone lit up.
A direct message from the account "Ridge Spring Police Department."
It told him it is unlawful to use profanity electronically and that:
"I will be obtaining a warrant for you for unlawful communications, see you soon...I will send the US Marshals to pick you up on this warrant. Have a wonderful day."
Christian thought it was a fake account.
Except it actually wasn't...
According to the town's own mayor, Chief of Police Terry Logan was the one behind the keyboard.
"Him saying that is crazy," Christian said. "But then to say that you're going to have the U.S. Marshals come and pick me up, that's even crazier."
So what did Christian do?
He messaged back: "go ahead, send them!!!!"
Nothing happened, the Marshalls, of course, never came.
Shockingly, NOTHING AT ALL has happened to Chief of Police Terry Logan, despite threatening a law abiding citizen from a government social media account for free speech.
THIS IS INSANE!!!!!

Let's talk about @THORChain. Not the noise, the fundamentals.
1/ Native, decentralized cross-chain swaps. Real BTC for real ETH, straight to your wallet. No wrapped tokens, no bridges, no custodian.
2/ Self-custody by design. No accounts, no sign-ups, no one who can freeze your balance. You keep your keys before, during and after every swap.
3/ Security backed by skin in the game. Node operators bond RUNE to secure the network and can be slashed for misbehaving. Attacking it means putting your own capital at risk. Economic security, not trust.
4/ Built to resist capture. Every ~3 days the validator set churns: nodes leave, new ones join, and vaults migrate to fresh keys. No fixed group holds the network long enough to take control of it.
You can take part in securing it too. Bond your RUNE⚡

The audacity.

The company is asking ordinary people to stop photographing its executives in public — and warning that they will seek criminal charges against anyone who refuses to comply.

∙ Had an inflation bug looming
∙ Was AML-compliant
∙ & essentially no users
