Independent risk ratings & DeFi analytics for @solana

This is why we track realized APY for Solana DeFi strategies and deliver it to you for free. What are you waiting for to start using YieldCompass?
1/ [Realized APY] Headline APY is not a reliable comparison metric. Protocols use different timeframes, and assumptions. The result is often a marketing figure rather than a consistent measure of returns. That is not the information standard a credible capital market requires.

If you use Solana DeFi, the value provided by YieldCompass is considerable. Collectively, we learned the large amount of risk in DeFi. YieldCompass helps us monitor a lot of it with its visual and comprehensive dashboard. SwissBorg Earn even more safe with its v2 launching 🙌
A credible capital market cannot be built on headline APYs, opaque risk and fragmented data. Introducing YieldCompass V2. The analytical layer to evaluate and compare yield opportunities on @solana. Visit the app: yieldcompass.fi/

Clean visual breakdown from @YieldCompass. Mapping the full PRIME stack on @kamino, from lending activity to YLDS, Figure's HELOC pools, and the underlying cash flows that support the asset. Worth a read for anyone looking to understand where the yield comes from 👇
We are now tracking Kamino Prime market on YieldCompass. With over $360M in assets supplied, Prime has become one of @kamino key lending markets, offering attractive USD-based APYs through lending & looping strategies. Everything you need to know about this market below. ↓

Ok @toly, a few months ago you called for the need of a "Moody's of Solana DeFi". We shipped it. And it is now live. It's more than time we start raising the information standards in DeFi. Feedback welcome.
As DeFi matures, capital allocators deserve accurate, up-to-date information about yield strategies. YieldCompass exists to close that gap. This goes deeper than a normal dashboard. We combine two key offer you can't find anywhere else: Risk ratings from in-house, transparent methodology. Realized APY measured from onchain state, net of fees and cooldown period. Every piece of information you need to make a thoughtful allocation decision, in one intuitive interface. yieldcompass.fi

I love this, it is the BEST thing that came out of DeFi this year It shows EVERYTHING you want to see before choosing a strategy on Kamino, Jupiter, Loopscale etc → Yield Risk Map → Strategies Comparison → Full Analysis Report on each DeFi strategy We need more transparency on Solana and this is it
Introducing the Risk × Yield Map. Risk and Return are the two variables that matter in DeFi, but are difficult to evaluate together. Yield data is fragmented. Risk assessment remains qualitative. The trade-off every allocator makes is hard to visualize. We're changing that. ↓

Good morning everyone ☕ , Many hacks are currently underway, and millions ( even billions ) are being drained One tool that might help give you more confidence when conducting thorough research is @yieldcompass They have developed a Risk Rating model for all DeFi opportunities within Solana And nothing is left to chance, just look at features like ⤵︎ ⊳ Track realized APY ⊳ Risk analysis ⊳ Strategic analysis ⊳ Technical analysis ⊳ Counterparty ✎ Each DeFi strategy also comes with a comprehensive report featuring a full analysis A tool I'm definitely adding to my list and will be using more often Props to the team!
0/ Today, there are more ways than ever to earn yield on Solana, but also new risk vectors that are unique to DeFi. Yet there's still no objective way to evaluate them. We're changing that. Introducing YieldCompass, a standardized framework for risk & returns on Solana. ⛩️

Took a look at @yieldcompass Solid product with plenty of room to level up. I genuinely think it can become the ultimate DeFi yield search engine on Solana. The risk ratings are the absolute standout feature for me

If there is one thing the Drift exploit should remind us about risk: It's the weakest link in the chain that ultimately matters. Your smart contract can be very robust. But if your multisig gets compromised, it's game over. And that's what happened to Drift. ~$270M drained from a social engineering attack on multisig signers. I won't go into the details here and I'm genuinely sorry for those affected. But let's take this as an important reminder to all that DeFi carries unique risk vectors. As an industry, we should work together to promote better standards for risk so that DeFi users better understand what they're exposed to, and go beyond the "I put my SOL to work here because KOL x said it was a good farm." With that said, here are a few heuristics to keep in mind for better DD of risk: 1/ Complexity = risk. This one sounds obvious. But not enough people acknowledge that. As a rule of thumb, the higher the number of dependencies & complexity -> the higher the risk. For instance, an LST (like JitoSOL) is inherently less risky than a vault run discretionarily by a strategist across different markets and protocols. Every layer you add is another thing that can break. 2 / Upgradeability & multisig control is very important. Who can upgrade the contracts? How many signers? Are they actually different people? What emergency mechanism do you have in place? A 6/10 multisig where one entity controls all 10 wallets is a 1/1. A 2/5 where two signers get socially engineered and you are cooked. 3/ Never underestimate oracle dependency risk. A bad oracle setup means price feeds that can lag, get manipulated, or go stale and this is a known attack vector. Ask yourself: Does the strategy I'm in depend on an oracle? If yes, how robust is the oracle setup? 4/ Exit mechanism DeFi is not risky until it is. So you need to prepare accordingly. Before entering a strategy, understand the exit mechanism. Is there a primary market at all times? Is withdrawal FIFO, gated, or only dependent on secondary market? What happens if the front end goes down? You should be comfortable with the answer. 5/ Don't rely on TVL as a gauge of security Today, TVL is one of the most gamed metrics in DeFi. Points programs, private deals, and mercenary capital mean that TVL often says more about incentives than about trust. More TVL does not necessarily mean the strategy is safer. Don't confuse liquidity with security. I am building @yieldcompass (very early) to help bring more transparency around DeFi strategies on Solana with a proper framework for risk and return. DM me if you want to learn more or help improve the framework.

Replying to @tokens
@tokens is cool. but something cooler is coming. same spirits but for Solana DeFi yield. risk ratings + realized returns. all in one place. very soon. ⏳
Foreign assets on Solana have many variants (e.g. Gold is represented by dozens of potential tokens) tokens.xyz aggregates all of these tokens into a single place and powers @tokens, the newest channel for 24/7 breaking news and where those markets live on Solana.
