It’s such a deep wound that it burns from within, and I can’t think about anything other than begging you not to leave, not to leave us behind. I know it’s selfish, and I sincerely respect your decision, but it’s impossible not to want to beg you one last time, to ask you to try once more, to give us a chance to believe that maybe we can still start over. I always believed in forever, and a part of me still does. Please, please, this hurts so much. You mean everything to me; you are my safe place, my refuge, and an essential part of my happiness. I can’t imagine how to move forward without you. I don’t know how to do it or how to learn to accept a reality in which you are no longer together. I know it might be foolish of me to ask for this, but I can’t think about anything else. I always said it: I wanted you to keep walking hand in hand for a very, very long time, to stay together, and for that forever I believed in so deeply to last just a little longer. But time seems to have run out far too soon, and I don’t know how to accept that something so important to me might be coming to an end. How do I move forward? How do I learn to live with this pain? To me, you were never just a ship. You were my happiness, my life, my world, and one of the safest places I could turn to whenever everything else felt difficult. I’m not okay. This hurts more than words could ever express, and I still don’t know how to find a way to cope with all of this.
