I really could have saved myself some time and trouble by using a container image. You no longer have to install everything to you local environment 🤦🏾‍♂️

This is a VERY common depiction, so no fault, for sure, but consider consolidating the OS side of the story to focus on where the kernel lives. A VM emulates hardware, requiring a kernel to boot inside, and containers emulate the OS, requiring just the app to run inside.

Have you ever been asked to jump through hoops to get out a promotional mailing list you did not sign up for? Or worst unsubscribe multiple times because they took it upon themselves to resubscribe you.
