Maldives politics in a nutshell: Both @MDPSecretariat & PNC leaderships love deciding everything from the top! Party bosses handpick candidates, push agendas, and sideline ordinary members who actually do the ground work. In MDP, internal rifts and delayed congresses show how power stays concentrated. In PNC, we've seen loyalists abandoned post-election and membership drives questioned for fairness. Result? Members feel used, not heard. Real democracy starts within parties! Time for more member voice, less elite control. Tune into #alfalilpodcast for the full chat on this mess with @Yasactive 🔥 What do you think — is this the same old story in both camps? Drop your thoughts! 🇲🇻 #MaldivesPolitics #MDP #PNC #PartyDemocracy

In Maldives' island councils, party politics often hijack local elections. MDP & others dictate to candidates, with high-level decisions hidden even from @MDPSecretariat members. Result? Candidates push party lines over voter needs. Time for real local representation! #LocalElections #MaldivesPolitics #alfalilPodacst @Yasactive
