Uptober is starting to look a little different than the timeline promised. Bitcoin is back around the $82K area, ETF demand just took a pretty serious hit, and now we have the U.S. government moving roughly $1B worth of Bitcoin tied to the old Bitfinex hack. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw around $487M in outflows on October 7. BlackRock alone accounted for about $208M of that. So much for October just going straight up because the calendar says “Uptober.” Then there’s the government wallet activity. Around 12,267 BTC was moved from the Bitfinex hack-related stash. People immediately started asking the obvious question: Are they selling? Maybe. But there’s no confirmation of that yet. The BTC was moved to unlabeled wallets rather than straight to an exchange. And this is where I think it’s worth slowing down a little. We had a strong ETF inflow run going into October. Now we’re seeing money come out, price is weakening, and a huge government wallet is moving around at the same time. That doesn’t automatically mean the cycle is over. It also doesn’t mean we should ignore it. Maybe this is just another shakeout before the market finds its footing. Maybe the macro environment gets worse and October turns into another lesson in humility. I don’t know which one it is yet. But I’m definitely paying attention. Uptober can still happen. I just wouldn’t trade like it’s guaranteed.

Bitcoin is back above $83K, which is a good sign after the recent pullback. The level I’m watching now is $82.8K If BTC can stay above it, I think we have a decent chance of seeing another push toward $85.2K A clean break above that could put $87K back in play. But I wouldn’t call it a confirmed recovery just yet. Bitcoin has already struggled around these resistance levels, and the wider macro picture is still creating some pressure for risk assets. For now, I’m watching how price reacts at these levels. Holding support would be encouraging losing it would change the picture i guess. Anyway, One step at a time. What’d you think @PHILANGIANTs ?
BTC lost the $82.8K support and came dangerously close to $80K Now it’s bouncing back toward $82.8K, and this level is back in focus. A daily close above it could open the door to $87K and beyond. Fail to reclaim it, and we could be looking at another leg down toward $79K or lower. Not fun to watch, but if you’ve been waiting for better entries, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for. Just don’t rush it.

NEAR is working on a few things that I think are worth understanding, especially around cross-chain transactions and AI agents. Let’s start with NEAR Intents. One of the annoying things about crypto is that different blockchains don’t always work well together. Moving assets around can mean dealing with bridges, gas fees and different liquidity routes. NEAR Intents is trying to make that process easier. You tell it what you want to receive, and solvers compete to find a way to complete the transaction. It has reportedly crossed $30B in cumulative volume, so there’s already meaningful activity happening there. Now, here’s where AI comes in. NEAR is also building infrastructure for AI agents that can perform tasks on their own. Imagine an AI agent that needs to swap tokens or move assets between different chains. NEAR Intents could help it handle those transactions without having to manually navigate every bridge and network. NEAR has also announced a $20M AI Agent Fund to support projects building in this space. Privacy is another part of the ecosystem. NEAR is working on confidential AI, which aims to protect sensitive data while AI models process it. It’s also developing private onchain execution. As AI agents become more involved in financial activity, privacy becomes a much more practical concern. You might want an agent to carry out a transaction without exposing every detail of what you’re doing. What about NEAR’s token supply? Around 96.4% of NEAR’s tracked supply was reported to be unlocked in the analysis I’m working from. That means most of the scheduled unlocks are already behind it, although validator rewards can still increase the circulating supply. So, it’s worth looking at emissions too, not just the unlock percentage. And the $3.8M exploit? The incident involving NEAR Intents was real, so I wouldn’t dismiss the concerns around it. The team reported that the vulnerability had been patched and the affected funds returned. That’s encouraging, but security is something the team still needs to get right as the ecosystem grows. Personally, I find the combination of cross-chain transactions, AI agents and privacy interesting because these things could work together in practical ways. There’s still plenty to prove, of course. But if you’re looking into NEAR, these are some of the things worth understanding beyond just the token itself.
I gave you $Hype at $20 now I’m calling shots on $Near NEAR was around $5.10 when I last talked about it. Now look at the chart. We’ve pushed close to $6. But the price move aside, the reason I’m still paying attention to $NEAR is what they’re building. We’ve talked about AI, privacy and quantum security, and NEAR is starting to connect those conversations in a pretty interesting way. Its private shard is designed to support confidential onchain execution, while NEAR AI is working on confidential computing that lets AI models process sensitive data inside secure hardware environments. There’s also a post-quantum signature proposal aimed at preparing NEAR accounts for future quantum threats. That doesn’t mean every piece of this is fully rolled out, or that $NEAR is guaranteed to keep pumping. But it does give me a reason to keep watch A tech narrative that could become more relevant as AI and privacy keep growing. Still watching this one. Let’s see how far NEAR can take it.

My take on BTC right now is that the market is struggling to find direction because there’s simply too much uncertainty. Both CPI and PPI came in hotter than expected, yet we still don’t have a clear picture of what the Fed will do this month. Even Kevin Warsh’s speech today did little to clarify the outlook on interest rates. So BTC remains stuck in the middle, with inflation still running hot and no clear signal from the Fed. Until we get more clarity, I think the market will continue to struggle with direction. And right now, uncertainty is the biggest problem.
My take on BTC $BTC swept the liquidity below $80K and bounced back into the $82K–$87K range. For now, we’re back in the same range But honestly, I don’t think there’s much to do until price gives us a clearer direction. Wouldn’t be surprised to see another visit to the $80K zone before we get a more convincing bottom who knows. For now, patience. No need to force a trade. This is a time whereby you need to protect your capital big time. NFA, Stay Safe.

BTC has reached its lower liquidity zone And now the next move depends on how price reacts around $82.8K. A daily close above $82.8K could open the door to higher liquidity levels. But if BTC loses this level, a move below $80K becomes a real possibility, potentially putting more pressure on the broader crypto market. The next daily close could be an important one. 👀

AI is moving fast, and I think crypto needs to take this seriously. If AI gets to a point where it can break the cryptography protecting our wallets, both Bitcoin and Ethereum could have a real problem. I don’t think this is something to panic over right now,but it’s definitely worth preparing for. Better to start working on solutions now than wait until it becomes an actual threat. We don’t need to panic, but we shouldn’t ignore it either.

I honestly think we could be getting closer to another DeFi renaissance. DeFi TVL is sitting around $185B, still roughly 44% below its all time high. There’s been a lot of pain in this space over the past year, from hacks and exploits to projects shutting down and liquidity moving elsewhere. So I get why people are cautious. But I also think there’s a reason to keep watching. If liquidity starts flowing back into DeFi, the protocols that generate real revenue from trading, lending and other onchain activity could be in a good position to benefit. Personally, I’m paying more attention to DeFi projects with actual users, sustainable revenue and solid security, rather than just tokens with a good narrative. Could we see one more flush before things turn around? Absolutely possible. Nobody knows for sure. But I still feel like DeFi has another strong run in it. I just want to be positioned around the projects that can actually make something out of it when the liquidity returns. I’ll be sharing more insights as we further. Keep notifs on amigos.
