Excited to be selected as a Muryanmu Champion!
Looking forward to learning, connecting and contributing to making reliable civic information more accessible to our communities.
Let’s get started.
@T4PCLab @yandytech
Meet the Muryanmu Champions!
We’re excited to welcome the young leaders selected to become Muryanmu Champions — a network of passionate changemakers committed to taking Muryanmu beyond the platform and into their communities.
As Champions, they will help introduce Muryanmu to their networks, encourage more people to access and use verified civic and election information, and spark conversations around informed and responsible civic participation.
Because information only creates impact when it reaches the people who need it.
We wholeheartedly welcome The Champions to the movement!
Together, we’re taking Muryanmu — Our Voice, closer to more communities across Nigeria.

PEACE STARTS WHEN YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE THE SPACE TO SPEAK, LISTEN, LEARN, AND ACT.
Over the past two days, we brought together 20 young people in Kaduna for the Youth Peace Innovation Lab Bootcamp under the Tech4Peace and Citizen Lab initiative of @YandyTech in partnership with Thrive360 Youth Initiative.
It was more than just a training.
Participants shared experiences, asked difficult questions, listened to different perspectives, and explored practical ways young people can contribute to peace in their communities.
We looked at what drives conflict, how dialogue can help, how to understand different community stakeholders, the importance of community listening, Youth, Peace and Security (YPS), and how technology and innovation can support local peacebuilding.
Most importantly, the conversations were grounded in the realities young people see and experience in their own communities.
And this is only the beginning.
The next step is taking these conversations beyond the room and turning what was learned into practical, community-informed ideas and solutions.
We are looking forward to seeing what these 20 young people do next.

Empowering Youth. Amplifying Women. Building Safer Digital Spaces.
At YandyTech Community, we believe technology can be a powerful force for peace, participation, inclusion, and positive social change.
As part of our commitment through our Tech4Peace and Citizen Lab Initiative, we participated in a 3-Day Workshop on Youth-Led Social Media Campaigns for Women’s Political Participation, organized by FactCheck Africa in collaboration with FIAP and GIZ.
The workshop brought together participants from civil society organizations, media, and digital communities across Nigeria, Benin Republic, and The Gambia, under the broader #CheckBeforeYouPost initiative.
We explored digital forensics and fact-checking, strategic content and campaign design, online safety and digital security, women’s political participation, and campaign planning/content calendars—including risks such as doxxing, phishing, online gender-based violence, and gendered disinformation.
A major highlight was our practical campaign lab, where our group developed “The Gap Has a Voice,” addressing the financial, cultural, and mentorship barriers affecting women’s participation in politics.
We aim to take this knowledge forward by strengthening fact-checking and digital safety in our community, using verified data and structured content for advocacy, building partnerships with CSOs, media practitioners, and digital influencers, and supporting young people as responsible digital changemakers.
Technology is powerful. When combined with truth, safety, inclusion, and purpose, it becomes a tool for peace.
This is the work we are committed to through Tech4Peace and Citizen Lab.
Let’s check before we post. Let’s speak up. Let’s create safer digital spaces. Let’s make room for every voice.

Last week at YIF 2026, our participants continued their Business Foundation journey with Tasiu Kwaplong.
In his second session, “Understanding Your Customer,” participants explored the importance of knowing who they serve, identifying customer needs, and gaining deeper insights that can help them make better business and marketing decisions.
This session built on the foundation established in Tasiu’s earlier session on “Business Model & Value Proposition,” giving participants a stronger understanding of both what they offer and who they are building for.
We’re grateful to Tasiu for sharing his expertise and practical insights with our participants and for contributing to the growth of women-led businesses across Northern Nigeria.
Thank you, Tasiu, for being part of the YIF 2026 learning journey.
