From Allies to Arm's Length: Why Canada's Black Hawk Deal is Now Heading for Cancellation - The Canadian government has quietly suspended its plan to buy 16 U.S.-made UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters for its special forces, and a total cancellation now seems imminent. Driven by escalating trade war tariffs and political bullying from the Trump administration, Ottawa is now shifting its focus toward domestic defence manufacturing and alternative international partnerships. And behind the scenes, American officials have been scrambling to salvage the deal, REPEATEDLY attempting to contact Canadian procurement leaders to push the contract through. However, Canada has essentially gone completely quiet, leaving Washington met with a wall of administrative radio silence. There is now a growing sense of desperation on the American side, as defense giants try feverishly too pressure Canada to sign. Yet, Ottawa refuses to budge. For decades, Canada viewed the U.S. as its most trusted continental ally. But now, many federal officials feel Washington has turned its back on that alliance through economic coercion and threats to Canadian sovereignty. Given this aggressive and almost demented behavior, Ottawa views America's expectation that Canada should blindly hand over billions of dollars as pure gall. Instead of capitulating, Canada is now actively evaluating OTHER aerospace options, including European alternatives like the Airbus H145M or Leonardo’s AW149, which can be outfitted with domestic supply chains. Because of Washington's heavy-handed tactics, the U.S. is highly likely to take a massive financial and diplomatic loss as Canada permanently walks away. 🇨🇦 #canpoli #cdnpoly #Canada #EU #MAGA #Republicans #Midterms

📢 NEWS RELEASE "The strong gold values intercepted in DDRCCC-26-156 demonstrate that the Saddle Zone carries significant grades at depth as well as near surface. Given that the Saddle Zone is located within the existing Blackjack pit shell, the strong gold results coming from this year’s drilling across the Saddle Zone have the potential to add significant tonnage to a future MRE update for the Blackjack Deposit.” - Cor Coe, CEO and Director of Sitka Gold. 📰 Read the full news release: sitkagoldcorp.com/sitka-dril… $SIG.V $SITKF #SitkaGold #InvestYukon #Gold #GoldStocks #JuniorMining #RCGold #Tungsten

Charlie Angus exposes the spectacular collapse of a mining venture that recruited Trump's new White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia and Kristi Noem. The stock plunged from roughly $2 to FIVE CENTS. The company changed its name. Then it abandoned its mining project altogether. And now Zacharia is bringing her talents to the White House.

The documentary "Musk" by @alexgibneyfilm premieres today in NY & LA and then rolls out more broadly. I've seen it and I've got a feeling Elon won't like it. I had a great conversation with Alex about the film. You can watch here or listen on @NonzeroPods. youtube.com/watch?v=S334zDOB…

Mark Carney: "Canada is about so much more than being next to the United States. We have what the world wants. And for an investor, a country that respects rule of law, and a country that is reliable — that combination is pretty rare in the world, and it's an attractive combination."

I wish Canada, Prime Minister @MarkJCarney, and all Canadians a Happy Canada Day. Ukraine joins you in celebrating this day. We appreciate Canada’s leadership in helping us protect the lives of our people across many domains: defense assistance, pioneering work on sanctions against Russia’s shadow fleet and financial sector, diplomatic advocacy, and much more. We are grateful that we can count on your continued support in all these areas. Thank you, Canada!

Before the session work. Before the stadium tours. Before Paul Simon and Steely Dan. A 25-year-old Steve Gadd was in the U.S. Army Field Band, ripping through “Cissy Strut” in a TV studio rehearsal room around 1970. He was already untouchable.
