I would like to propose that the name of the water section be called “Doucette’s Last Drink” in honour of my Great Grandfather who fell into the waters of Market Slip and drowned on May 31, 1950.
The City’s Civic Commemoration Committee is inviting the public to help select a name for the (soon-to-be) newly redeveloped public gathering space near Market Slip.
