Do you have a clear identity?
Do you know where you want to go?
Are you already building something people can believe in?
An A&R isn’t simply looking for a good song.
We’re looking for an artist worth building something with.
What is the biggest green flag you look for in an artist?
Then comes consistency and coachability.
Can you deliver beyond one good song?
Are you willing to receive direction, challenge your assumptions, and improve your craft?
Can you maintain momentum when there is no immediate reward?
A&R is development work. Artists who cannot evolve are difficult to build.
