We are not going to cool off. This year will be hotter than last year and 2027 will be hotter. Fossil fuels are destroying our biosphere that provides a stable climate to support all life on Planet Earth 🌎
The wildfires in Ontario and Minnesota are a direct consequence of the high temperatures and low rainfall resulting from a major July heat dome event. A year ago we showed that these events hace tripled in frequency due to human-caused warming: penntoday.upenn.edu/news/ext…

Any questions?
⏰ A new State of the Climate report finds that 7 of the 16 planetary vital signs it tracks are at record extremes, including sea level, ocean heat and greenhouse gases. It says warming has roughly doubled in speed since 2010 and blames fossil fuels. eos.org/research-and-develop…

We are approaching the irreversible tipping points. Earthlings, don’t say you weren’t warned.
The current El Niño is already the strongest on record and is forecast to get even stronger, peaking around November or December. Though it should be over by June next year, the effects of this monster event will continue to be felt long after that. Read more: newscientist.com/article/259…

Transition happens. It is pure economics now
Russia's EV Market Share Is Now Higher Than The US! Many Russian gasoline stations have no fuel. EV prices in Russia rise, as EV demand exceeds EV supply. US is among the worst EV markets in the world due to EV & other tariffs and tax credit repeal. carscoops.com/2026/10/russia…

If you are bought and paid for by the #fossilfuel polluters, you make very poor decisions for the future. Drill Baby Drill is so last century outdated energy tech
Trump is outraged as Countries from Southeast Asia to Sub-Saharan Africa aren't investing in fossil fuels as the West did; they're investing in electricity powered by renewables 100,000 solar panels were installed across Africa every day in 2026, up 45 percent from just the previous year. dw.com/en/the-solar-boom-is-…

Time to end this violent, war-causing fossil fuel addiction. Let’s go!
Wow and wow - cost of grid scale battery packs fell 45% last year! China 🇨🇳 is building bigger, better batteries. It is now turning all established wisdom of the energy sector on its head. Battery storage is now cheaper than gas, offshore wind and coal. This is answering the long term problem that there is no solar energy when the sun is not shining and no wind energy when the wind is not blowing. Chinas export of energy storage is growing so fast that 85 gigawatt will be established outside China this year, an increase since last year of incredible 65% Our energy future is simply bright: * The storage capacity of large scale batteries is 11 times greater than five years ago. * 40 % more large scale batteries will be installed this year than 2025. * Chinese companies accounts for 95% of large scale batteries. China adds battery capacity faster than the rest of the wold combined. * 🇮🇳 India is another driver. Adani Group is establishing the world’s largest battery in the state of Gujarat. I visited this massive solar - wind - battery park in June. Cost of solar with battery storage is now lower in India than cost of coal. That is all the difference! * CATL is the industry leader with 40% market share for car batteries. It’s moving to the forefront also for industry scale batteries.  Its leader Robert Zeng has turned his small hometown of Ningde in Fujian province into a world class technological science center. It was just recoqnized by the UN as an “innovation intensive” center on par with Cambridge and Boston. I was taken aback on a tour a few years ago. * Another leader is Envision Energy which is setting up the world´s largest data center in Inner Mongolia, fueled with renewables and a 16 hour battery. Add incredible innovative companies like BYD, Sungrow, Great Power, GanfengLithium, HiTHIUM Energy Storage and more. Add Abu Dhabi 🇦🇪 and the Gulf region. We are well into the age of renewables! Was there ever any doubt??
Strait of Hormuz attacks spill oil into Persian Gulf Its an "ecological catastrophe" as oil slicks extend into protected and fragile ecosystems, obliterating sea birds and marine life But all the West and world cares about is the price of oil dw.com/en/iran-war-oil-slick…

I’m a proud American but one who supports clean energy transition, so I guess… Go China!! #fossilfuel forces have led us down this dark path.

Water is Life
The amount of freshwater on earth is seriously declining, reports the World Meteorological Organisation. Last year rivers carried 36% less water than usual and glaciers lost 400 gigatons of ice. Reserves of groundwater are also shrinking in most places phys.org/news/2026-09-global…

Ideology is irrelevant
Texas is what makes this chart powerful. This isn't green ideology winning. It's pure economics. #Solar is cheap, modular, scalable & incredibly fast to deploy. Wind keeps growing too. When economics take over, ideology becomes irrelevant. The energy transition just wins. #SWB

Good morning with good news: China's gas auto (ICE) sales plunged 40% in August! Plug-in autos were record high 65.2% of sales, with full electrics (BEV) a record high 45.3% of sales! PHEV fell 29%. Only BEV sales grew, with total auto sales down 23.6%. electrek.co/2026/09/08/bev-s…

Little-known fact: Solar just became Pakistan's single biggest source of electricity, ahead of gas, coal and hydro, capturing 25% of the power mix >Nobody planned it: as grid prices doubled, households and businesses bought Chinese panels by the bucketful >Pakistan imported more solar (17GW) in 2024 than any other country. Most of it never talks to the grid and is missed by official statistics Distributed technology beats volatile commodities every single time Wires chewing pipelines energy-transitions.org/publi…

Let’s go EV trucking!!
Impossible to Inevitable! Electric heavy transport has crossed from technical possibility into commercial scaling. EV heavy trucks reach 27% market share in China in Q1 2026. China's 2030 sales share goal for EV heavy trucks is 40%. It will smash it. oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-G…

There is no sugarcoating the absolute devastation of the planet’s biosphere.
🚨 No more sugarcoating. The UN just confirmed the 1.5°C climate limit is effectively dead. We will breach it within years, not decades. We are officially entering a dangerous "overshoot" era. Current policies track us to a lethal 2.6°C. What does crossing 1.5°C actually mean? It means a massive surge in compounding weather disasters. We aren't just talking about hotter days, as we are looking at abrupt, unpredictable severe droughts, collapsing ice sheets, and extreme floods happening all at once. It gets worse. Rising sea levels will trigger permanent coastal submersion, threatening to completely swallow island nations. Simultaneously, brutal severe droughts will collapse global crop yields, causing skyrocketing food prices and widespread shortages. We are completely unprepared.

This is how fast oil use can disappear. China's reduction in oil consumption during the first half of 2026 due to the replacement of fossil vehicles with electric vehicles exceeded the UK’s entire oil consumption during that period. China’s CO2 emissions fall in Q2 2026 due to plummeting oil use carbonbrief.org/analysis-chi… @CarbonBrief

Political noise can’t fight math. US battery storage just had its best quarter ever: Record 20.2 GWh in Q2, pushing utility-scale storage capacity to nearly double in just 18 months (to 165 GWh). The kicker: 74%+ of the buildout landed in states Trump won in 2024 led by Arizona, Texas and Utah, with Arizona alone adding a record 6.2 GWh Solar+storage economics don't care who's in the White House: Combined with solar, clean power is systematically eating peaker margins, firming the grid, and locking out expensive fossil assets Wires chewing pipelines renewablesnow.com/news/us-ba…
