#Lenham Parish Council found out about @maidstonebc garden community proposals for 5,000 homes in the local press. Maidstone Council treat local parishes and communities with contempt. They need to start listening to residents.

We fully support the Lenham Parish Council #NeighbourhoodPlan as it rightly does not include provision for the @maidstonebc led garden community and has policies to protect countryside outside the settlement area.

Sign our petition and help us tell @maidstonebc that we’ve finally had enough. Maidstone’s residents don’t want #gardencommunities, we want proper #infrastructure and we want them to say no to the additional #housing targets being placed on the borough.

STANDING UP FOR LENHAM!
Next in line standing up for #Lenham are some of @maidstonebc own councillors. Leader of Indepedent Maidstone, Cllr Eddie Powell is having to call out his own Council for not telling the truth.
MBC have given misleading promises from the start.

STANDING UP FOR LENHAM!
@Helen_Whately stood up (literally!) for us at the residents meeting on 24th January with @maidstonebc. Helen recently conducted a survey on the Council’s garden community proposals with over 1000 responses:
⛔️ 96% said NO to Lenham Heath development ⛔️
