Updating my social media accounts is something I'm really bad about. But ain't nothing getting done if I don't do it! Introducing, "Sunday Driver"! Non-stop speed and the skill to weave through the city is what this game is all about. With over 12 unique districts, this is going to be an "open world" city speed-fest! The main game mode will be Survival: race like gas is scarce because...well, it is! Your gas tank is constantly losing fuel and you have to reach a series of Waypoints before the tank is empty! Collect coins along the way to access gas stations scattered throughout to keep your car going (literally just drive thru!). But it doesn't stop there! With every Waypoint reached, more and more cars populate on the road, making your commute even more challenging! I have lots more to add (eventually I'll be switching this project to Unreal 5). WHERE: twitch.tv/Rhindon7 WHEN: Jan 12 @ 3-5pm CST (1pm PST; 4pm EST) ABOUT THE PIC: A moment from last year's Gift Of Christmas pageant at my church, Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, as the shepherds gathered from the fields to see this wonder that has been revealed to them by the angels. If only you could have been there - it was such a powerful production to see as I have...both from the audience and as part of the choir. If only any of us could have actually been there to see the angels actually rolling back the sky to announce Jesus! If only we could have been there when the Magi arrived to worship and bless Jesus with gifts. The Bible is the infallible Word of God...but even John mentioned that not everything is recorded in his account, so how much more is not included in the rest of the Bible? ABOUT TODAY'S STREAM: I struggle with pride at times, but I'm not so arrogant to think I can fill in the details, myself, about the Biblical account of what happened 2000+ years ago. But it's my goal to do my best to Unpack The Gift Of Christmas, focusing on the nuances and trivial details in the Bible that seem maybe not "as important". It won't help us to really know what it was like in ancient times, but maybe it will help us understand the Biblical account that much better despite our modern sensibilities. WHAT: Lo-Fi Bible Study & Chat (Christmas Edition) WHERE: twitch.tv/Rhindon7 WHEN: 3-5pm CST (1pm PST; 4pm EST) My church's Gift Of Christmas show is over with for the year, but the Christmas spirit is still alive (well, I guess that depends how you like to celebrate the season...some of you got your trees down the next day, I bet!). What a powerful show! And what a deep honor it was to be a part of such an impactful production that helped to bring 700+ people to Christ in faith! The evening of our final performance last week gave me a few more special behind-the-scenes glances that I hadn't seen before. (That's not a surprise since this was the first time I've spent Christmas in this church ( Prestonwood Baptist Church ) and so the first Gift Of Christmas I've been a part of.) Even though the traditional season of Christmas is coming to a close for most people, the story, outside of the holiday season, continues on. Surely the story didn't stop just because we packed up the ornaments. And so I'll be continuing to finish up the Christmas story in the book of Luke. Because we don't get to Jesus' ministry and death and resurrection before we get through His arrival and birth as a human child! Right? It's my goal to continue to Unpack The Gift Of Christmas. To intentionally get sidetracked on the little details of the text that we often gloss over due to tradition or familiarity. I want to see what kind of behind-the-text details we can find. The little details that could actually help us to better grasp the depth of the story and what it really meant for Joseph and Mary and for us today with all that happened those 2000+ years ago.
