The relief of seeing the baby come to your rescue.
The joy of watching it heal you, as if apologizing for the room before.
The shock of seeing Mother Brain begin moving again.
The horror of watching her attack the Metroid as it stubbornly clings to you to protect you.
The desperate heartbreak as it charges her... and is killed in cold blood, trying to protect its mama.
The exploding, violent rage in your blood as you endlessly fire your cannon at that monster for what it just took from the world.
What it just took from *you.*
Rage only felt by a parent who has outlived a child they failed to protect.
The rage of a mother whose child was taken from her.
All done without words, without cinematic angles or anything like that.

Every electronic device on the planet could cease functioning right this second, and I can still draw on paper. The skill carries over. ♥️
What these people don't understand is that you need to understand the *exact* same art principles to paint on a real canvas as you do to paint in a digital one. Light, shading, color, values, framing, perspective, anatomy, etc. all these things are universally understood and used between both mediums.
An AI promptoid has no idea what makes the art look good. The machines they use don't either. They construct the prompt pixel by pixel, copying the work of those who do understand.
Take away the generator, they can't make a damn thing.
Take away my tablet, and I could still draw just as well with a piece of charcoal and a sidewalk.
They want to be artists so bad, to have the respect that comes with that skill.
The title of artist is not given in the images you claim to own.
The title of artist defines *you*.
The things you learn, the things you know, the things that remain in your brain and you can recall at a moment's notice when needed.
I could never draw another piece of artwork ever again, and I would still be more of an artist than a promptoid who generates dozens of images a day.
I could draw a masterpiece on a cave wall with berries and bark.
You can't make anything if your wifi goes out.

Realism ≠ Appeal
Games are art, they don't need to look like photographs, they just need to look appealing.
The more we push to photorealistic, the more terafarts per megashits every gaming machine is gonna need to play the video game, and no one wants to buy more upgraded parts just so they can see 1,000 pores on the character's face instead of 100.
We're good on the realism, just make it look cool now.
The realism benchmark achieved in the Ps4 era was enough, stop adding more polygons and start increasing framerates, cooler lighting and particle effects, number of objects that spawn in, reduce loading times, all the shit that annoys gamers more than "man I wish I could see the blackheads on leon kennedy's nose"
