Flare CEO Hugo Philion's @kbwofficial talk is in two parts: what XRP can do on Flare today, and the compute that expands it next.

OpenAI models helped researchers—operating as part of our Patch the Planet initiative—discover critical security flaws in PHP, an open-source programming language used to run an estimated 70% of websites.
Over the past two months, we led a coalition of maintainers, researchers, and security providers to prepare fixes and protections ahead of disclosure. This duration was necessary because the fix was quite intricate and required a major change to the PHP engine. Every site using PHP can now safely upgrade their version to stay secure, in addition to applying mitigations from various security vendors.
Due to the severity of these flaws and PHP’s widespread use, we consider this bug to be one of the most impactful vulnerabilities in recent memory. It also marks a new phase, where AI can find security bugs with internet-scale impact.
This is an example of the Defender’s Window in action: to our knowledge, frontier AI was able to find this vulnerability ahead of attackers, giving defenders time to prepare.

BREAKING: President Trump announced a anti-fraud program that would pay people who expose fraud 1% of the money recovered. “If you find $1 billion, we are giving a commission to that person of 1%,” he said.
Congrats to the winners! 🎉
The results are in. ☀️

Four very different products, built around the same idea: expanding what developers can make possible with XRP, interoperable assets and confidential compute on Flare.
Congratulations to all four teams. 🔥
Bitstamp just published a 2026 FLR MiCA white paper.
There’s something powerful about seeing the infrastructure of an internet take shape in real time. The Internet of Value.
Most people will notice when it’s obvious.
I’d rather pay attention while the foundation is still being built.

Most case arguments online are assisted with Ai and People are drifting away from being guided by their own thoughts. As they see it’s easier to create with it rather than their own minds. What’s being stripped is not how the information is given but how it’s being digested. A book is just a history of information. The Internet and AI is just a history of information. Observe, Create, Digest.

The Roadmap
AI makes software cheap
⬇️
Software becomes abundant
⬇️
Businesses own their workflows
⬇️
Data and infrastructure follow
⬇️
Big tech moves down the stack
⬇️
The attack surface expands and thins
⬇️
A serious cyber event becomes the turning point
⬇️
Identity and verification become infrastructure
⬇️
Local resilience becomes more valuable
Digital abundance above. Competing trust layers in the middle. Local resilience beneath it.

6. Identity and Verification Become Infrastructure
A world filled with AI agents, custom software, automated transactions, and distributed systems creates a new requirement:
Systems must know who—or what—is making the request.
They need reliable answers to:
Is this really you?
Is this AI actually acting on your behalf?
What is it authorized to do?
Can another system trust that authorization?
Can a transaction or record be independently verified?
Digital identity, authentication, authorization, and distributed trust layers therefore shift from optional products to basic infrastructure.
7. The Deeper Shift Is Physical
The lasting consequence is not purely technological.
A serious digital disruption would expose something easy to forget:
The digital economy still sits on top of the physical world.
Food still has to be grown.
Energy still has to be produced.
Goods still have to move.
Infrastructure still has to function.
People still need other people.
As the digital world becomes more abundant, automated, and distributed, greater value will attach to local resilience:
Local food and farms
Local businesses
Local energy and infrastructure
Physical ownership
Trusted relationships
Communities capable of functioning when digital systems fail
AI starts the transition by making software abundant.
A cyber shock exposes what sits beneath that abundance.
The result is not a return to analog life, nor complete digital centralization or decentralization.
It is a new balance:
Digital abundance above.
Competing trust layers in the mi
