A huge congratulations to the Clear The Air In Havering team for their incredible achievement on behalf of Rainham residents. ✊️💚
✅ We won! Justice for #LaundersLane ✌️✌️✌️
⚖️The court ruled the Council’s refusal to label Launders Lane contaminated was legally flawed. They ignored toxic smoke harms and lacked key fire data.
Big win for residents & environment—but we must keep pushing for action. #CleanAir

🗣 What the Judge Said:
📌 “The community is stuck between a legal rock and a legal hard place.”
📌 “We are left with a site that is causing problems for residents who are left unprotected, and they are entitled to be protected.”

🚨 Launders Lane Court Hearing Update 🚨
🔹 Key Points:
✅The court considered in detail the statutory guidance on contaminated land (which hasn't, as far as we are aware, been subject to judicial review before).

What is wrong with our Govt?
Why can't they see that the water companies have failed and are not fit to continue?

Ruth is a truly incredible lady whose determination to make sure all Havering residents have the right to clean air has seen her take this legal action against Havering Council. @Ruthyphro
