The grass is greener where you water it.
Take that new idea energy and put it into making your existing thing work better.
Compound.
AI models are SO much better now that folks just getting started have a lot of advantages vs experienced users.
I expect many of the legacy skills, 'code factories', workflows etc. built over the years - along with our priors - are creating more issues than we know.
Reiterated? Hasn’t the Model Y been the world’s best selling car for three years running?
Unveiling the Roadster with out-of-this-world technology reiterated that Musk has given up designing cars for regular people to drive. on.wsj.com/3UvugrS
This type of ‘emperor’s new clothes’ behaviour has to be nipped very quickly in any organization. No matter how senior the person.
My biggest frustration with Grok Bot is inconsistency with what it will and won't do. One will read my Slack without the connector. The next one refuses unless the connector is set up.
I like the idea of having different bots for tasks, but its frustating when they take different lines on what they can and can't do.
I’ve had one of these for a while now and the data it collects on your habits etc is pretty cool, but it’s not very good and doing anything useful with it.
Best thing is probably to export everything to Grok bot/Muse to take actions proactively.
Excited about our new Bee devices launching today. They turn your conversations into summaries, to-dos, and reminders, so the details are there when you need them.
Bee Frontier goes on your wrist or clips to your clothing, and Bee Eclipse snaps to the back of your phone to catch what you'd otherwise forget throughout your day, whether it's notes from a class you're taking, the details of a trip you're planning, or an idea that comes to you in the car.
They connect to Alexa+ and Amazon.com, so the things you mention are easy to find later. And you're always in control…one button turns it on or off, a light shows when it's on, audio is never stored, and only you can see your data.
Think folks are gonna find this really handy. aboutamazon.com/news/devices…
SpaceX price to sales: ~100x
Tesla price to sales: ~13x
Tesla TTM revenue: ~$104B
Assuming SpaceX acquires Tesla, it seems like Tesla revenues will at least get some of the SpaceX treatment and this should be amazing for shareholders.
I drive a Tesla and my wife drives a Porsche. She borrowed my car while I was travelling and doesn’t want to give it back.
We are going to trade in the Porsche for another Tesla 😂
OpenAI customers can now use committed token spend for other tools and services through their Marketplace.
Right now, AWS is the king of this model - big cloud commitments lock in better rates and can then be spent anywhere.
If OpenAI/Anthropic can do this for AI spend, it's huge.
Larry Ellison is epitome of ‘bad boys move in silence’.
Paramount, the home of Yellowstone, the UFC, Mission Impossible, and Top Gun just acquired CNN 😂
To be fair, they have done an amazing job with CBS!
BREAKING: Judge officially clears Paramount Skydance to close its $110 billion takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery.
My personal AI costs have been completely paid for (and some) by the tax savings they've identified, very awesome.
People forget Meta has a giant beautiful money printer.
Was Metaverse a bad idea? Yes.
Did they spend $60B? Prob more.
Does ads printer go brrrr? Definitely.
you can't make this shit up
meta invested $60B into the metaverse. almost ran out of business.
then zuck hired the camo crocs intern and suddenly everything's fixed
I get why frontier companies are hiding the traces to counter distilling, but MAN it makes it harder to catch all the sneaky incorrect things the models do.
This reminds of the Jim and Andy documentary, where Jim Carey stays in the ‘Andy Kaufman’ character the whole time, and Robby Lawler talks about how it wasn’t what Andy was like off screen at all.
Aaron Sorkin says his “Social Reckoning” star Jeremy Strong, a known method actor, was treating his co-stars “the way he imagines” Mark Zuckerberg would treat them during filming:
“I told all the other actors in his scenes: ‘Guys, he’s not going to be hanging out with you at craft service. He’s not going to be yucking it up with you between takes. He’s probably not going to speak to you at all. He is going to treat you the way he imagines Mark treats the people around him.’ And that’s what happened. You cannot argue with the results.”

It’s bad that AI safety has been co-opted by weird culty people.
Whenever something practical and necessary gets taken over by cultish loons the worst case seems to result.
Homeless programs, environmentalism, welfare reform, education, social justice etc etc. All very important.
Somehow these movements end up being led by people religiously focussed on zero-sum winning vs actually getting positive outcomes and results, comfortable with lying and manipulation if it increases their power. Cults seem to attract psychopaths as leaders.
Even if they were driving policies which would create positive results, which seems to be very rare given the priority of amassing power, the groups ultimately generate an equally zero-sum reaction fighting against them, which massively encumbers any progress.
What seems to work very effectively is common sense laws, competitive markets, reasonable consumer protections, and checks on government overreach.
